Commercial Description:
Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

wasn’t a huge fan. to me it was pundit and rather flat. some cola and bland malt qualities. Lots of brown sugar, some banana and a hint of clove.

330 ml bottle. Pours very dark with large tan head. Lots of different flavors: figs, dry sherry, roasted malt and oats. Oats flavor reminds me a little of Samuel Smith oatmeal stout but it is not the predominant element in this brew. Enjoyable, but doesn’t really stand up with best.

33cl bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a murky dark brown to black with a thick and frothy tan head that settles quickly but still provides some glass lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, candy and brown sugar, molasses, caramel, bread. Flavor is more earthy with notes of sweet malt, caramel, banana, raisins, dark ripe fruit, and hints of molasses. Medium-bodied with a slightly sweet finish.

[1204-20080314] 11.2floz bottle. Banana bread yeast aroma with a bit of sweet roasted malt. Hazy, dark brown mahogany body with a quick foamy light tan head. Dark roasted squishy brown banana boozy flavour. Medium-full body. Very yeasty.

33 cl. Translucent dark brown with ruby highlights and a one-finger head that tries to last. Spicy chocolate and raisin bread aroma. Flavor starts with chocolate, caramel and dark fruit. A big finish of balancing dryness from earthy-peppery spice, roasted nut, and slight warming alcohol. Medium body is tingly, dry, and a bit too frothy with carbonation.
