Bottle. Cloudy deep brown color with a average good lacing light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, sweet, Light yeasty, smoke. sugar, alcohol, leather. Flavor is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic.

Bottled. A very dark red beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty stored fruits, as well as raisins and plums, caramel, and cloves. The flavor is quite sweet with strong fruity notes, peaches, plums, and grapes, as well as raisins, but also with light notes of cloves, and licorice. The mouthfeel is somewhat sparkling, and the alcohol tingles the tongue.

33 cL bottle. Pours deep brown with almost no head. Nice sweet fruity aroma of roasted malt. Creamy mouthfeel - alcohol is a bit sticky. Roasted malty with bread like taste. Plum and raisins. Fruity finish. Little bitterness.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a warm, reddish hue and a small, beige head. Warm, delicate aroma of dried and overripe fruits. Quite full-bodied, sweetish vinous with lots of roasted malt and dried fruit. Rather warming alcohol in the finish. Very delicious. 270507

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma strong alcohol, plum and hops. Yeast, raisins, alcohol and soap in flavour. Some sweet caramel also, but the beer felt somewhat unbalanced in my opinion.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2006 Bottled. Hazily dark brown. The aroma is dominated by pineapple and burnt mal. Solidly malty. There’s toffee and butter as well as some apricot jam. The finish is dryish with notes of dried fruits.

Sweet aroma dominated by dreid fruits with notes of caramel and alcohol.
Sweet flavour of dried fruits, caramel and liquorice with notes of alcohol and hops.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a malty spicy dark fruit and caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy dark fruit, chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a weak roasted malty spicy caramel finish.

33cl bottle at poechenellekelder. Pours dark brown with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is sweet and vinous. Roast and dried fruits. Massive taste of dark fruits. Plums and raisins.Sour fruity notes and caramel. Long end & full bodied. Very nice.

Dark color; thin head. Dry malt, very strong caramel, quite high bitterness; gets easily sweeter when warmer. Not bad.
