Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

Not my favorite style but this was a good ass beer. Dark and malty with some of the Belgian characteristics still present but much maltier and darker than its cousins. I actually enjoyed this

Bottle from a Shelton Brothers Belgian Christmas pack from 2007. Pours dark brown with a smallish off white head. Aroma is malty sweet, toffee, bread. Flavor is malty, caramel, dark fruit and raisins. Long bittersweet finish. Nice beer, but not great.

This is a really tasty beer. A little natural subtle sweetness of cherry paired with more potent and bold flavors typical of a dubbel. The nose is not equally as strong and is its weakest link. The palate is multi-layered and very drying. This tops my list of enjoyable beers for flavor.

bottle from World of Beer - light head, fruity, sugar, and light hops. Moderately spicy and ends with a dry finish. Very enjoyable

Nice aroma of malt and Juniper. Dark brown and almost clear with a small tan head poured from the bottle. The flavor is warming, slightly sweet, fruity, and malty with a nice bite from the juniper. Well balanced......an enjoyable dessert.

Bottle 33cl. Black with a brown foam head. Cmplex nose of dried fruit, banana, coffee and some spices. Very rich taste, a bit sweet (due to the rather high alcohol percentage) but nice in balance with a hoppy finish. A really nice beer

In between a dark sweet Belgian strong ale and a porter in style, possibly because it's a fairly fresh bottle. Enjoyable for me because I like both styles. The sweet dark candied fruit taste mixed with the dark roasted malts & dry light bitter finish works somehow and creates quite a decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark cloudy brown. Smells fruity. Tastes fruity but has a light hoppy bitterness to it. This brew is something all its own.
