Beside the ‘Bloesem Bink’, you can also enjoy a second seasonal beer, the ‘Winterkoninkske’. This beer is, just like the others, unfiltered, not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle. The ‘Winterkoninkske’ is the ideal beer to make a cold and chilly winter evening pleasant. The ingredients are: seven types of malt (among which rolled oats), two belgian types of hop, brewing liqour and yeast. Our winter beer is a dark and heartwarming beer with a pure, sugary flavour and a long, bitter aftertaste. The alcohol content of this heavy beer is 8,3 % vol.alc.

Buona!!

Pours medium brown and transparent with a quick tan head. Nose is a fairly generic medley of dark maltiness, with plenty of caramel and raisins leading the way. Flavor brings out some roastiness and a decent dose of bitter hops alongside the heavy malt. Alcohol figures in a little on the backside. Good ale.

bottle via DBL- thanks John! Pours a dark ruby with off white head, nice lacing. Nose- huge waft of candi sugar and figs, raisins and plums. Taste- very rich sweet caramel malts and molasses but also a mineral like dryness. The juniper is tough to pick up but is somewhat noticeable on the finish as the beer thins out. An excellent winter warmer.

33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Dec 08. A red-brown beer topped with a minimal but relatively lacy head. Atypical nose for a dark beer, initially very hoppy and aromatic. Dark malts reveal themselves slowly afterwards, followed by plum brandy-like alcohol and ’buhtle’, an airy, jam filled cake known in the Balkan region. Rich, juicy taste of dark malts with hints of fruit (appels, grapefruit) and a bitter finish.

Più adatta all’inverno e in particolare nelle sere natalizie.

In between a dark sweet Belgian strong ale and a porter in style, possibly because it's a fairly fresh bottle. Enjoyable for me because I like both styles. The sweet dark candied fruit taste mixed with the dark roasted malts & dry light bitter finish works somehow and creates quite a decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown beer with a large coffee coloured head that quickly faded to leave a constant thin band, aroma is sweet and licorice. Taste is malty, brown sugar and slightly toasty but saying that a little muted - alcohol is very well hidden.

Appearance is quite pretty with a murky cola pour leaving a nice and thick off-white head that gives way to a small white film with no sign of lacing. Smells fantastic with a strong hint of brown sugar and lighter hints of cola, coffee, and chocolate. Tastes pretty darn good as well and is surprisingly complex. I believe it reminds me of a good porter more than a strong dark ale, which I realize is something of a catch all. Sweetness, milky textured, and a taste of coffee and cream with some fruits hiding around the end. Relatively high alcohol content is successfully masked. Carbonation is just a tad too heavy. Body is leaning medium. Drinkability is great, I would absolutely have one again but probably not session due to the alcohol level.
