3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (gas dispense) at Duke of Connaught, Norwich. The name is a pun on Guinness. Very very deep ruby with lasting beige head. Choccy smooth stout. Slightly sweet, but a rather choc/charcoal finish. Bit of dark toffee. Actually a bit too sweet for me. Decent timgly finish though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gravity poured pint at the 2013 CAMRA AGM in Norwich on 20 Apr.
An off-white foaming head sat on top of this good looking dark brew, deep ruby red when held to a light source, otherwise a very dark brown colour.
Dark fruits and malty molasses blend together nicely to give this beer a pleasant aroma and taste.
Not the heaviest bodied stout about, but this was fine and suited the flavours and alcohol level just right: a well make and tasty brew.

Cask conditioned handpump Windham Arms Sheringham 19/08/12. A black beer with a tiny off-white head and lace. Tart fruitiness in the nose with a sweet lighted roasted malty taste. A competent tasty well brewed stout.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask - The Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Loose & bubbly tang head; deep ruddy dark brown body. Slightly oxidised I’d say. Sharpish berry & apple notes fight it out with roast & coffee aromas. Similar again on the tongue with a hint of chocolate, yeast & roasted malt on the finish. Light to medium body, soft mouthfeel, medium bitter-tangy finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned at The Kings Head, Norwich. Dark brown with white head. A pun on Guinness?, pure Geniuss!! This was just a little tart on the tongue, with a fruity overtone, I went for a blackberry / plum mixture. Chocolatey sweet with a touch of licorice. Very interesting.
