Honey aroma on this pale yellow pour. Sweet but not sickening flavor. The rye adds a different flavor to this wheat.

Cloudy, honey colored with thin head, Dank beer aroma, often accompanying honey beers with some heavy honey notes developing on aeration, Dank honey-rye flavor with cardboardy off-tastes. Overall, medium-bodied, but rather dank, beer befitting a dive bar.

8/21/2007: Winthrop Grizzly Paw Honey Rye is pale yellow in color with a chill haze to it. There is a little bit of honey flavor and sweetness in this beer. The finish is a bit dry and spicy. This beer is light and crisp. Honey and rye generally go well together and this beer balanced the characteristics of the two nicely, but it just needed a bit more oomph behind it!
Draught sample at the Winthrop Brewing Company in Winthrop, Washington. Rating #2 for this beer...

On tap at the brewpub. Light, but pretty enjoyable on a 95 degree day. The honey in this is enjoyable. Sweet and light. Not really that good ratings wise, but I liked it.
