COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A single hopped India Pale Ale to Explore the wonders of Sorachi Ace, a truly unique hop developed in Japan. Sorachi is famous for bringing distinct lemon citrus flavours, light floral notes, tea, dill, and even coconut to beer. This is a complex hop that is not for everyone but it certainly is for us.

Bottle. Hazy golden brown with a large off white foam. Aromas are herbal liquorice with leafy pine. Nutty black tea with bready yeast and base toffee. Spicy with woody light cinamon. Flavours are sweet toffee with spiced oranges and herbal notes. Creamy with oak and black tea. Peppery with raisins and mellow grapefruit. Dry and bready on the palate. Very different. Good.

Bottle at home, 5th September 14. The aroma is pine, a little light citrus. Taste is full Sorachi, a lovely and unique hop flavour, lots of bergamot, citrus, pine, perfectly balanced and showcased. Excellent Sorachi Ace IPA, could do with more if these differentiated IPAs

330ml bottle, pours hazy golden brown / amber, with a small off-white head. Aroma has an initial citrus hop twang, orange and lemon but then becomes more complex with earl grey tea aromas, aniseed. There is a nice malt base, taste iis lightly bitter, light body, thin, oily feel, average carbonation, bitter finish. Well balanced and nice hop character.

Very hazy deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with fine carbonation. Smooth airy malts, little cream sweetness. Lovely Sorachi hops - lemon and orange rind, sweetish cream and little herb. Light finish. Mild bitter linger. Comes together really well. Lovely. Sorachi Ace rocks!

Bottle shared by Scopey. Clear dark orange color, average to medium sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts and big big Sorachi ace with some liquorice as well. Taste malts, anise, liquorice, hops, Sorachi ace, nicely bitter. Average to medium body and carbonation.

500ml bottle @ RBESG Aug 14, CBC Clapham thanks to Paul. Unfortunately stole the last of this bottle from Ken (apologies!). Lots of dill & coconut dominating with little in the way of citrus Sorachi coming through. And I do like a bit of Sorachi. Disappointing in that regard but judging by the rates below I may have to re-rate from a fresh bottle.

Bottle from deeside drinks emporium. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a nice white head which holds quite well. Aromas of coconut, leaves and slight tea with some citrus notes. Nice sweet hoppy taste with again a coconutty citrus linger. Very unique and tasty.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo. It pours hazy orange-amber with a small white head. The nose is big sorachi....massive fennel, aniseed, sweet plastic, bubblegum, herbal and light citrus. The taste is bitter, orange peel, earth, wood, grassy, herbal, fennel, marzipan, plastic and aniseed with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. If you are mad for sorachi this shit is for you. Unfortunately I am not a huge fan of the hop, but the a well made nonetheless.
