3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol. Deep amber in colour with a decent, off-white, head. Bg, hoppy aroma of pine, citrus, pineapple and green herbs. Full-bodied, with dense malts, more tropical fruits and some heavy herbs, leading to a lengthy, bitter finish with the Mosaic hops dominant. Very good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy Amber ipa, pine citrous aroma, fairly subtle, citrous flavour with biscuit malt, well balanced bitter finish and refreshing bearing in mind the strength of this beer. This is my first exposure to this brewery, the craftsmanship is impressive, vive le Bristol.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nose is fresh pine needles, floral and some citrus. Similar flavours, balanced out by some caramel sweetness and fairly moderate bitter ending. Not unlike an amped down Kernel IPA but lacking that ’zing’ of their beers.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Copper gold filmed lightly with haze under a fine white collar. Enticing ripe strawberry, mango, orange liqueur and sweet tropical pollen aroma with a dusting of cinnamon. Ripe, soapy and floral with a wash of soft papaya and dragon fruit-like fruit bittering into husk, pink grapefruit and marmalade. Warm and soft. Very good but not quite the equal of its own nose.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury and drunk at home. Clear amber dark, with lasting creamy head. Big hit of hops on the aroma. Sweet, grapefruit. candied satsuma aroma. Smooth in the mouth. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Good fruit. The toffee and biscuit comes through and is quite strong. It’s quite a good IPA but more balanced in terms of malt/biscuit and fruity hop. Good though.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Sourced Market, St Pancras, batch 3, 6.7%. Hazy amber with beady white head. Aroma is malty caramel, citrus hoppy, pith, bread. Similar in the taste, citrus bitterness, more pith, marmalade, pine, nice dryness, underlying sweetness. Medium to full mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Nice IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle; 3rd March 2015.
Looks like hazy orange tango. Raw onions; dry and delicate. Perfume. Really good clean malt-base, sugar residue, orange tart. Good blast of hops. Citra is very well hidden. Amarillo shines. Nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml Bottle - 7.1%. Batch 2. Pours a slightly murky amber brown with a lot of visible fine carbonation and a white head. Nice aroma with caramel, toasted dark bread, passion fruit, wet leaves, light dankness... Medium body, medium carbonation. There a little hit of booze, orange, toast, grapefruit, light piney resinous stuff. A touch lacking in trop fruitiness the aroma promised and there’s a slight thinness to it. I’ll see if this needs a new entry as batch 2. Nice though.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled, 330ml from Whistle Wines, Exeter, Devon. Hazy gold with white head. There is a slight acrid note in the aroma but not in a bad way, it is just a hint of the hoppiness to come. Dry, zesty hop flavours, bittering grapefruit with lemon pith and a tropical fruit note, the whole gammut of likeable hop notes. It’s a bobby dazzler.
