COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It fights like a Bulldog on your palate - Brutal Bulldog Double IPA är en intensiv bekantskap.

Original description:
Test batch brewed together with Bishop’s Arms S:t Eriksgatan, Stockholm. Available for a limited time only on this pub.

Keg at 9:ans Ölhall, Goteborg, 23/03/14. Dark orange amber with a moderate off white covering that retains well. Nose is bitter orange, light hops, gingernut biscuit, caramel notes. Taste comprises sticky mango, caramel malt, touch of hops, light booze, melon, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Mediocre DIPA, one dimensional affair, forgettable, Gotlands who/what ?

On tap at Sue Ellen. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel, citrus, pine, a bit too malty aroma. Taste is sweet caramel up front, some fruity bitter hops mid-through and medium grassy bitter finish with a malty note. Medium body.

Bottle at home. Bought from Ocado. Pours a dark amber, little head or carbs. Strong tropical fruit and citrus aroma from the hops. Taste is incredibly bitter at first (reminds be of one of those macho bitter-as-hell American IPAs), but the bitterness subsides a bit as I drink the beer. This is a fairly easy-drinking DIPA, gentler than the others I have tried but still incredibly well-made and complex.

330 ml bottle from Kanpol, Pärnu. Pours amber with a nice bubbly head. Aroma has some tropical fruits, citrus, sweet malt character. Herbal hops beneath everything. Taste is smooth and creamy. There are also some pine needles, oily resin and earthy hops. Aftertaste is somewhat sweet-bitter, reminding me something I cannot put a finger on. Maybe some grit I’ve had? Finish feels quite unbalanced, with goya bitterness and not enough body to back it up. Overall a decent IPA.

No head, dark amber or even copper color. Strong hoppy aroma, caramel and some fruits are also noticable. Bitter hoppy taste that gets more intensive as time goes by and has quite strong finish. There is very noticable caramel and heavy sweetness in the background. Some quaint fruity side flavours can be also felt. Bitter-sweet after taste lasts for a long time. Good beer, but there is some room for improvement.

Laadukkaan tuntuinen. Maku on vahvemman greippinen, karamelli on nyt taustalla. Keksiä ja puuta on lievemmin mukana. Suutuntuma on tasaisen katkera ja melko kuiva, muuten olut on keskitäyteläinen. Laadukas DIPA, jossa sitrus pääroolissa. Kuivahko ja sopivan katkera tapaus.

Clean amber color, small head. Nice aroma of piny hops, caramel malt and some fruits. Taste is similar, dry sweet with medium bitter finish and long hoppy aftertaste. Medium body and soft carbonation. Quite decent IPA.
