Draught, Bishops Arms Light haze shadows the pale golden, healthily carbonated pour. Fair 2cm head covers it all. Slightly sulfury nose with faint malt character. Quite buttery with interesting salty celery notes. Very timid hop aroma, but still develops an okay bitterness by the sip. Fair body is enhanced by buttersotch oiliness. Cleansing carbonation. Fair stuff, but below expectations.

A Mes rate:
Draught at the Bishops in Lund. Straight forward vanillary pils that is hoppy but not really citric and has some diacetyl type flavour. Not too great but nothing really bad about it.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm) Colour is pale yellow (almost with green tinges), with a firm, rocky, white head, lasting half-way through. Probably unfiltered. Nose is hoppy, with a fresh, grassy hop character. A bit hidden. Taste is bready and malty, with a grassy, dry bitterness and hints of hay. It’s got a slight lemon character, which is also evident in the other Gotlands beers. A nice one it is.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Pale yellow, rocky head. Aroma of grassy hops and papery malt. Dryish with notes of metal. The low carbonation makes the mouthfeel nice and soft with a pleasantly crisp edge. Rather bitter finish. Except for the notes of metal it’s a dams fine German style pilsener - and the best new beer I’ve tasted from this brewer in ages.
