COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear, deep copper body, the long-lived head laces the glass well. Strong aroma that is surprisingly hoppy, with notes of tropical fruits. It’s also spicy and caramel. Not particularly christmassy, but an inviting aroma nonetheless. The flavours also has notes of burnt sugar, and the tropical fruits feels overripe. In addition I get some herbs (more than spices), and in the long-lasting, moderate bitter finish I pick up traces of coffee. More-ish and refreshing mouthfeel with a light dry finish. An unusually successful vienna! Oh, I’m so easily pleased, just throw in some extra hops in your average beer, and I’m sold.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Tromsø Langnes. Good looking body and head. Firm, bubbly, fawn-coloured head with a solid stand and excellent lacing down the glass. Clear mahogany coloured body. Full score on appearance! With pine up front and semi-dry, dark malts beneath the smell gives a Christmas tree impression. Blended taste of herbal hops and malts with moments of nuts, chocolate and caramel. Roasted, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Nice Christmas feel (at home, Tromsø 04.01.2014).
