3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured hazy pale orange, just shy of orange soda, with a thick white crown of 2 cm. The head stuck around for quite a while and left good lacing.
Smells of citrus, floral hops--red licorice or something like it, sharp graininess... basically it smells like most of the decent Swedish beer I’ve sampled.
Slightly thicker than crisp mouthfeel.
Nicely hopped bitterness is up front when it hits the tongue, not overpowering the sweetish malts that move in. A touch of sour citrus is also there.
A good beer. Not a great beer, but good enough.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of yeast and touches of malt. Bitter, rather intensely hoppy flavour, with estery notes and touches of citrus. Bitter and acidic finish. Clean. Medium body. OK but I expected something more fruity.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ml bottle @ Destination Gotland ferry
Golden orange slightly hazy beer which comes murky by adding the yeast. Makes a little white head. Aroma is dry yeasty, vinegary and berryish sour with some toffee sweetness. Flavor is mostly bitter in a grapefruity and hayish dry way. There’s also some maltiness and yeastiness. Adding the yeast in softens the bitterness a bit but doesn’t really add anything. Palate is thin with hard carbonation. The finish is interesting – first a bite of bitterness, then nothing for a second, then a lingering bitterness which lasts for minutes. Overall dry and bitter, not refreshing. Weird beer considering the title says it’s an "Abbey beer". Well, it has yeast in it.
