En markerad doft av mörkrostad malt med inslag av choklad, kaffe och vanilj.

En fyllig kropp med välbalanserad maltsötma och humlebeska bjuder en lång tydlig eftersmak av mörk choklad, torkade fikon och vanilj från fat.

Fra flaske (2006-årgangen) på sesongåpning Mi2 cardinal aug-16: brunsvart med eksemplarisk skum som står distansen ut. Vanilje/eik, dessertsjokolade, eksklusiv kaffe og modne bær i skjønn forening. En superlekker porter som bør nytes i små glass, gjerne sammen med gode venner.

330 ml bottle, vintage 2016, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Black colour, large tan head. Nice aroma of moderately roasted malts, exotic woodwork, chocolate and vanilla. Smooth flavour, notes of roast malts, mild coffee, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Should not be drunk too cold.

Shared bottle at Cardinal. Pours black with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is full dark malty, oak and wood with some notes of dark roasted caramel. Taste is Smooth dark malty, moderate dry weak roast, dark chocolate, lingering chocolate, more than nice this one.

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 15.08.16. Ebony. Brown head and lacing. Fine and complex aroma of dark wood, ash, roasted malt and coffee. Similar taste, with medium bitterness. Also some vanilla.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with little off-white head. Aroma of caramel, some oak, some vanilla. Tastes pretty bitter, some sweetness. Surprisingly thin bodied. Somehow unbalanced.

How: bottle Appearance: almost black with a medium to small light brown head. Aroma: coffee, caramel, dried fruit, syrup and truffles. Palate: medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle at Nääs Fabriker. Pitch black, small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, oak tree, burnt leather, burnt sugar, coffee, ash. Taste is malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, slight oak, finishes dry with alcohol notes and firm bitterness. Big body, low carbo.

Black color. Creamy head. Aromas of vanilla, rasins, and roasted malts. Woody flavor, but controlled. Quite bitter, with coffee notes, but with a good balanced sweetness. Very tasty

Bottle. Aroma is coffee, dark bitter chocolate, cocoa, hints of vanilla, orange. Black brown, clear, beige head. m- sweetness, light bitter, taste is dark bitter chocolate, coffee, some salt licorice, hints of vanilla and some wood. Medium body, average carbonation, long finish with some bitterness. Nice porter, pretty complex.
