COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Spendrup's microbrewery location in Visby, Gotland.
"A well hopped pils with higher bitterness.
Wisby Pils holds 37-38 EBU. The hop varietie used are Hallertau Perel and Saazer which are added at three different phases.
The beer is meant to represent the German school with short and intensive bitterness in the finish.
Wisby Pils is probably the only pils that is brewed on one part wheat malt and four parts barley malt."

This is a pretty malty beer, without a lot of hop prescense. Grassy, with a little dryness in the finish. Unimpressed.

Bottle in Stockholm, Sweden. Golden beer (almost yellow) with little head. The aroma is lightly malty and dry, and the flavour is lightly malty and lager dry. Overall an average dry lager with a lightly malty finish.

330 ml bottle. Pale golden body with a big, disappearing white head. Vague grainy aroma. Flavor is refreshing, light malt, some bitterness but a thin and watery body make this just another thirst-quencher with no soul.

330ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grass, tea, malt and hay feature in the aroma. The taste is soapy, hoppy and malty with hints of tea, grain and citrus. Not bad and a lot better than I was expecting.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - ABV 5.0 % - BBE 12.09.12, on Viking Line Gabriella. 20111114) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain and grass. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy and bitter. Othewise a good pils but the sweetness in the taste spoiled it a bit.

Bottle from Systembolaget, Nordstan, Gøteborg. Pours clear light golden with a big frothy white head. Sweet malty corn aroma. Taste is light fruity, moderate sweet, dries up a lot towards the end, lingering bitterness.

ClarkVV (3579) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 26, 2005
2005 bottle from Juha. Smells like some hops, just a bit of grass and some plastic, not terribly aromatic, but pretty clean. Looks really pale, white and with a bubbly head. Light bubbles rise and a pale-gold, white color. Flavor, though, is great, hoppy and crisp with plenty of lager yeast crispness. Good body, not anything heavy, but medium and not watery. A bit of metal and a some crisp hay. Moderate carbonation and a good honey backbone, but just needs more yeast dumped in.
