COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Thomas Berglund - Svenska Dagbladet

Doft

330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a tall crown. Roasted notes, coffee, lactose, wood and soil. Well made although nothing really stands out. I would have preferred it perhaps a bit dryer.

Aroma is chocolates, dark dried fruits with a hint of ash. A smooth tasting stout with a dry finish. Decent and priceworthy.

Black body with a light-brown head that laces the glass well. Quite strong and not that inviting aroma of very sweet malt extract, sweet dark dried fruits (especially prunes) and roasted malt. Moderate flavour of malt extract, prunes and Kongen av Danmark. Light-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. Not very good.
[33 cl bottle shared with Svensenga smak & behag, from Systembolaget Gårda, Göteborg]

Medium fyldig. Litt salt kort ettersmak. Lite kullsyre

(Bottle). Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate, light fruitiness. Tastes vaguely fruity roasted malt, a little smoke, chocolate and possibly licorice. Thin and rather bland. The brewery writes the following about his beer: "After a couple of Guiness, you are quite satisfied, but after two Wisby Stout you want to have another one." I disagree, I would rather have a Guiness than one more of this one!

Aroma has roasted and slightly smokey malts. Some liquorice too. Flavour has some bitter coffee but lacks depth. Feels a bit thin and watery.
