2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from some random Vinmonopolet enjoyed at home
Orange hazy, medium big beige head. Smells of citrus and banana, yeast and wheat. Taste is quite wheaty, medium sweet, some reguar malts as well. Citrus and banana, some acids hidden. Subtile light bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, watery texture. Quite enjoyable and refreshing, but of this style there are better ones and easier to get. I guess i’m not the one who buy this one again

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a not too delicate hazy matt orange, with a finger thick head. Aroma is wheat/ hay, fruity with notes of pears and sweet apples and roasted malts. Flavour is honey, peach and orange which is obviously quite sweet, but still there’s a sour wheat-ish bitterness of hay which also lasts through the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Sjølyst), Oslo. Finger-thick white head, reduces fairly rapidly, settles as a thin film. Hazy, greyish orange colour. Aroma of banana, yeast, overripe/fermented pears. Slightly sweet, refreshing, fruity taste, balanced by citrus acidity and citrus zest and hop bitterness. Dry finish. Light/medium body, soft carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
26.05.2012. 0,5l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Haugesund. Cloudy orange colour with white head. Very nice wheaty aroma with notes of citrus and banana. Or is it banana skins? Very smooth weisse with a gentle wheaty sweetness and hoppy flavours of summer and sun. Good lasting aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl flaske fra Polet. Litt pepperaktig, skarp smak med noe citrus, banan og krydder. En grei nok hveteøl men kort ettersmak og kan ikke måle seg med f.eks Schneider Weisse Tap 5 i smaksrikdom.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl bottle from Vimonopolet. Hazy golden with a bigh white head. Smell of banana hit me when I opened the bottle. Lots of banana in the aroma, but also citrus, spices, malt and yeast. Sweet and fruity with a slightly dry and slightly bitter finish. Nice summer beer!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy, medium orange body with a large, rocky and creamy off-white head with ok longevity and ditto lacing capabilities. Sweet, thick (yeah, thick, why not?) and strong aroma, reminds me of a weizen bock. Sweet fruits (banana), spices, yeast, perfume, soap and citric hints. Light sweet and light acidic taste and an unusually bitter finish. Very spicy flavours which combined with the almost stinging perfume notes and the bitter finish make this beer almost a bit rough, at least compared to other sugary banana hefeweizens. A very tasty, crisp, refreshing, lively carbonated beer with a medium body and watery to oily texture. A bit unusual for a hefeweizen, perhaps, but who cares.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 4 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Ullevål Stadion, Oslo]

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.5l bottle. This one pours a heavy clouded almost murky orange-ish body with a big fluffy and lacing white head. It’s really banana sweet with lots of wheat, yeast and spices. Cloves I suppose. Quite intense actually, and not bad at all. Perhaps a bit to much? It has a average carbonation level and a mild oily texture. Flavors are also quite present. Lot’s and lot’s of ripe banana sweetness! Perhaps the most I’ve ever found in a wheat, and I also get tons of pepper! Not directly burning in the mouth, but definitely stingy. Wheaty finish with more pepper in the aftertaste. I served this fridge-cold, but some how it feels warm and it’s almost like it’s lacking some freshness. Nice enough and I’ll gladly admit that it tasted pretty good with a beer right about now, but I don’t feel the need to purchase this again. 05.05.2012

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small head, reddish cloudy appearance (more than usual!). Rather thin taste and aftertaste. Somewhat bitter. An OK hefeweisse, especially since its brewed in Sweden, but it doesnt hold against the best german ones.
