3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 cbfobes (1674) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Can shared at a local tasting, tasted this blind, pretty sure Andy brought this one, pours a clear amber with no head at all, the aroma has a slight malt touch with a tad bit of hops, really nothing at all, the flavor has a slight hop flavor with more malt sweetness than anything, nothing terrible but nothing great. Was hoping more from the great Wisco Disco.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 Solid beer here. Had it out of both tap and can. Good color and average head with minimal lacing. Very drinkable amber. Really like this one

Its a good refreshing beer, nothing outrageously special however. Good aroma but ordinary on taste. Very well put together, I’d buy it again

Blind tasting. A touch buttery. Malty, very middle of the road to sub par. Not impressive, but drinkable. Medium body, macro feel.

Pours light amber with a thin white head. Nose is light breadiness, herbal hops, and a little yeasty sweetness. Taste is pretty sweet, with some metal notes, light dry bread and some herbal hopping. Light bodied and ample carbonation.

Courtesy of Skyview. Copper color with a small head. Light pine aroma. Rough bitterness. Pine and earthy taste.

Picked up a four pack at Ridgeview Liquor in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a clear amber light brown colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of fruity and citrus hops, some caramel malts, a touch of apple and a hint of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, some average carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some fruity hops, and some mild resin. Finish is semi-sweet at first followed by a sharp, spicy hop presence that slowly disappears. One of the better Americanized amber ales I’ve tried. It even goes well with a plate of Brunkow’s baked cheese.

Picked up a few cans last time I was in the area - excellent amber with an initial creamy maltiness followed by a definite hop bitterness on the back end. Overall balanced flavors with bready malts and floral hops blending well - nothing over-exaggerated. Mouthfeel is fantastic with the added lactose. Good lacing on the glass, fairly mild but hoppy aroma. As a certified BJCP judge I can say this beer is spot on style; Wisco Disco nears the top of my list as an excellent session beer. Can’t wait for distribution to expand.

Believe the hype! Well not so much. If you read the "reviews" it is awesomeness in a can. While it is not the worst thing I have ever had it is far from the best. If you really want to find out for yourself give it a try.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2013 Color was a nice amber color with about one and a half fingers of nice creamy white head in the glass from a can. Aroma was a perfect balance of malt and hops and some nuttiness in the middle. The taste had some sweet malt up front followed by caramel nuttiness. Had a bitter bite on the back end, not sure if this is hop bitterness or an off flavor. A solid beer overall and sessionable.
