While Common Thread’s 2012 inaugural brew was California Common (steam-beer) beer was a collaboration between six local breweries, 2013′s will be a Biere De Garde and feature ten breweries including:

On tap at Vintage Brewpub. Hazy apricot with a miniscule crown. Aroma of bready ,alt, fruit, caramel and light banana. Taste is sweet with toffee, honey, banana and yeasty notes. Better than the 2012 version.

Growler, courtesy of Skyview. Copper color with a small head. Caramel and grainy aroma. Buttery flavor with light, biscuity malt.

On tap - Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Real grainy with some tropical fruit and a touch of almost rye spiciness. Taste is smooth, with lots of graininess, dry and spicy with light herbal hopping. Pretty thick bodied and fairly slick. Medium carbonation.

Aroma is malty, sweet, dark fruit, a little caramel or brown sugar. Medium body, very smooth. Malts and hops. very well balanced.

Hazy, muddy brownish dark orange. Wispy white head that quickly disappears. Sweet, malty, caramel, toffee, dark fruity. Medium body, creamy slick. Just enough hops to balance out the toasted malt. Nicely put together
