4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tripels … gotta love them tripels and this one is right up there with some of the best! This brew poured up a golden colored body with an enormous frothy head with long-lasting retention and phenomenal lacing. Aromas rich with fruits (apples, pears, bananas) and one can definitely smell the alcohol in this brew! Flavors are amazing (honey, apples, hops and sweet malts) and only get better as the brew warms up! Medium-bodied and very well carbonated with a sweet, smooth finish that is warming and full of sweet fruity aftertastes. Pairs well with some spicy Cajun meals or all by itself as a sweet dessert beer.

Smelt of bread, dough, alcohol, citrus and tasted about the same too. Very nice beer. I would definitely buy this beer again.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
From the bottle poured a lovely golden brew with a huge, fluffy head. Aromas of malt and vanilla. Medium bodied with a rich, malty, vanilla flavor with a little hop finish at the end tha lingers.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a five+ finger cream head that fades very slowly, leaving a ton of lace. Nearly clear golden amber color. Serious carbonation and medium bodied. lemon yeast nose. Flavor is sweet, lemon, yeast and apple cider. Nice golden. High ABV is hidden. Brewed Mar 3, 2009. Pricey @ $11.99 for a 750ml bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into a large snifter. Nice golden pour with a fluffy white meringie like head. Gentle nose of sweet spices, bananas, hops and alcohol. A bit too fizzy on the palate at first but it gives way to pleasant bitter hop aftertaste that lingers. Overall a very good triple.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 corked bottle. Aroma: Belgian. Thick frothy head which never dissipates, hazy golden hue. Beautiful beer. It looks like a cloud I want to lay down and sleep on. Tastes of banana esters; full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Strong alcohol presence. Fantastico!

EXCELLENT beer, this takes the BSA to new levels....lively carbonation, mild bite on first taste, rich and complex palate, with a sweeter-than-normal finish. can be savored and enjoyed!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into chalice, 26HH bottle code(?). Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a good 2 finger foamy white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass, with a small amount of carbonation streaming up. Aromas of apple, pear, apple skin, caramel, grape, candi sugar, raisin, clove, herbal, earth, and yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of apple, pear, raisin, grape, clove, candi sugar, caramel, herbal, earth, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, caramel, candi sugar, clove, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a bit. Awesome balance of malty flavors with great complexity; no cloying sweetness at all. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Very smooth to sip on. Overall this is a highly excellent tripel! Great flavor balance and complexity; and very smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wellll... while a solid effort, not so different from the mainstream tasty Belgian golden/ tripel/ blond/ strong ales. I let the bottle warm some out of the fridge and then poured a colossal, off-white, extremely flothy, fluffy, wispy head that settled after a bit and some clingy lace. Color is a minisculey hazy amber with no bubble trails. Aroma is yeast, bread dough, crackers, hop, malt, white wine. Flavor’s very similar to nose, but with vineous sweetness on top then bitter tang, followed by other stuff including apples, pears. Body and carbonation are good. Finish is similar to flavor, easy and of short to average length with little alcohol warmth. Nice beer to get comfortable with. Be great for a picnic or to cook with.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Comes out of the bottle a beautiful clear golden amber with a fairly thick, palest amber head that leaves some generous lacing. Strong aroma is malty and fruity, the latter being equal parts pear and banana, with just a hint of butterscotch. Flavor has malty, sweet fruity - again, pear plus banana - yeasty and butterscotch notes, just a hint of hops and no bitterness. Smooth texture is a bit syrupy, fairly fizzy, leaving a nice fruity and yeasty finish. Put a spell on you indeed! Drat, I should have drunk this on Halloween.
