Bear-Ass Wheat is a light and refreshing Hefeweizen. Great for a sunny day on the beach, this beer is cloudy with hints of lemon, banana and clove.

On tap at the brewpub. The pour is a orangey gold with a thick film of white head and some great lacing. The aroma is full of tropical fruits and heavy grains. Not being a fan of wheats, here we go. The flavor is incredibly wheaty before moving through a light period of fruity sweetness. The mouth feel is light and well carbonated with a lingeringly wheat dominated aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap: The aroma consists of light-moderate banana, citrus, and a touch of clove. It’s a hazy/cloudy dull orange with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus followed by light-moderate banana. The finish has light clove with a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a soft mouthfeel.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big banana, overripe fruit, some pear into a bit of coriander, clove, pepper into some yeasty, doughy notes with a hint of bread. Taste was banana, clove, coriander into some yeast, dough, bready notes with some spice, some slight fruits, finishing sweet.

Sample draft at the brewery. Pours a very clear golden yellow color with a little head. Aroma is lots of lemon and wheat with hints of banana and clove. Taste is very nice. The lemon balances out the banana clove very nicely. Most hefe’s have too much banana for my liking but this is better balanced. Very light and crisp on the tongue. Very drinkable. Really like this.
