Scottish beer brewed in the wee heavy tradition. Malty and boozy, this one is a sipper.

A little too dry in the finish. I like the overall maltiness of the beer. Not the best scotch style ale ive had.

Taste on tap during Michigan Summer Beer Fest. Excited to try this one, after tmoney99’s recommendation. Clear red color, slight brown. Good thin off-white head. Some loose bits of lace. Oooh, very nice. Awesome tropical fruity, mildly citrusy hop. Good amount of hop for a BB wee heavy, more so than expected. Some mild caramel, good toasty malt, some mild spiciness. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, moderate sweet, just a touch of bourbon warmth. Smooth, kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Medium to bigger body. Mild slick finish. Great scotch ale.

Growler pour. Pours a murky brown with an off-white head. Heavy sticky caramel aroma. Toasty malt and caramel flavors, some grape and peated malt. Pretty nice.

On tap at Witch’s Brew BP. Poured a mahogany color with an off white head. Malty - caramel, toffee, with a lighter earthy/peatiness. Sweet with the alcohol hidden.

Sample draft at the brewery. Pours a murky dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma is very malty, caramel and butterscotch. A bit of whiskey in the nose too. Taste is too powerful for my liking. Heavy strong malt flavor. Mouthfeel is very thick and chewy, almost like maple syrup. Very little burn on the finish is surprising though. I think this is a well brewed beer its just not a style I like very much.
