4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From notes. On tap at Witch’s Hat on March 17. The pour is a copprty gold with a quick-fading white head and some gorgeous lacing all down the glass. The aroma is big on citrus. There is a solid hop presence and a touch of pineyness on the back end. The flavor is great. More of a hoppy bitterness that I love in an IPA. The citrus carries all the way through the back end. The mouth feel is pretty solid, and the carbonation is medium in presence. The aftertaste is a little more piney than I’d like, but it’s decently dry on the back end.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great hoppy beer! Not too thick and not too sweet, it’s a great ipa and I can understand why this is their flagship.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had this in a flight at their brewery. It’s a nice yellow orangish color and tastes like a good IPA. It’s got a bit if a tang to it that I really like.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2013 This the best hoppy beer in the state of michigan. Despite the hoppy bitterness, its amazingly creamy and has an awesome mouth feel. Better then Two Hearted, it practically glows in the dark deep orange. Lacing all over my glass everytime. Awesome beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2013 On tap at the brew pub. Reddish orange pour with a little head. Nice hop aroma. Pine and citrus mostly. Some malt comes through too. Tastes great. Fresh hops give some piney/grassy taste but there is a solid malt backbone. Very good. Re-rate 3/21/13 - I think they changed the hops in this. Less piney and more floral and grassy than I remember. Some mustiness in the aroma. Moderate bitterness. Still an above average IPA that I drink often when I see it on tap at places.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces nicely. Aroma has a combination of light pine, citrus and a bit of tropical fruit with a backing hay note. Flavor starts with a bit of light citrus and a bit of resin but has a bit more tropical fruit in the finish and a bit of a grain backbone.
