3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Petes Place. Pours a dull orange color with a nice thick off white head that settles into an oily look. A citrus hopped aroma. A creamy feel at first. With a nice mellow citrus. A piney fresh after taste that lingers nicely on the mouth. A huge wall of lacing. Overall a nice not overpowering ipa. Good stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap: The aroma consists of moderate moderate-heavy grapefruit with pine, light citrus, and a hint of toast. It’s a transparent amber with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. There are some thin rings left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a a quick dose of citrus and a hint of toasted notes. The finish has moderate-heavy grapefruit and light pine. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.

One of my favorite IPAs out of Michigan and one of my favorite breweries. Very nice hop presence, grapefruit/citrus, and a bitterness with the finish that I really enjoy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From notes. On tap at Witch’s Hat on March 17. The pour is a copprty gold with a quick-fading white head and some gorgeous lacing all down the glass. The aroma is big on citrus. There is a solid hop presence and a touch of pineyness on the back end. The flavor is great. More of a hoppy bitterness that I love in an IPA. The citrus carries all the way through the back end. The mouth feel is pretty solid, and the carbonation is medium in presence. The aftertaste is a little more piney than I’d like, but it’s decently dry on the back end.

Great hoppy beer! Not too thick and not too sweet, it’s a great ipa and I can understand why this is their flagship.
