Borresteijn (55), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 15, 2008 Bottle @ De Ponteneur. Hazy yellow colour, aroma of citrus, yeast, bit spicy. Flavour is citrus, bit earthy and yeast, malty (wheat?). Nice dry finish. Has a bit of a Belgian Wit character, although this one’s a lot dryer, more like Westvleteren 6. I love this stuff. emacgee (946), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 Pours a pale clear golden brew with a two finger frothy pale white head. The nose is sharp, Belgian, earthy, spicy. Nice citrusy complexity. The flavor is earthy and Belgian, spicy, slightly citrusy. Overall not a bad Belgian Ale. Nice slight champagne edge to it. aubreya (648), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2008 The color was pale golden. The ehad was thin, fizzy, and white. The aroma was belgian yeast, earthy, and crisp. The flavor was earthy, strongly belgian, and some spice. The palate was lively. The finish was earthy. Naka (369), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 Pours a hazy orange golden color with a thick white fizzy head. The nose has a lot of fruity yeast, cotton candy, alcohol, pear, and a nice bitterness. Very thin body and not a very strong flavor. Light yeast, toffee, nuttiness, and some fruit. Apples, pears, clove and a warming alcohol. santoslhalper (161), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2008 Thank you to Naka for sharing! Cloudy gold with a rich, frothy, strong white head that has great retention. Fragrant, floral, peppery wheat aroma with some banana, clove, citric and bleach notes. Clean, crisp, light and refreshing taste. Great wheat malt flavor with nice, subtle sweet and spicy notes. Lots bread and ginger. I like this brew because it’s complex, interesting and creative, yet quite sessionable and refreshing. Gooooood stuff..
