3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2005 Poured with a chunky white head that hung around for a while. The ale itself was cloudy with heavy yeast percipitation (falling in clumps to the bottom). The nose was very bread-like, from the yeast, but was enjoyable. This beer is sour but managed to not annoy. Cloves and lemons show up at the after party. A very enjoyable session beer.
9/18/05 rerate: this beer was only alright this time. medicine like w/ a spicy linger. Someone help me get this in a Trp.?

bottle at home. Pours whitish gold with a nice steady fine white head. Decent yeast aroma and fresh malts. Very nice. Light body, imminent slight bitter touch, little yeast funk. Taste is little citrus zeste, loads of saison alike yeast flavours. Nice light beer.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is a spicy abbey ale, golden, yeasty, rather nice. They may be overdoing the yeast in the bottles, though, occasionally: I had two of them spouting. Nice label, better than most abbey beers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly cloudy, golden-yellow with a small white head.
Yeasty, bready, dusty basement aroma.
Lemon, yeast, lemon-peel....very dry.....slightly bitter hay flavour.
Minimal, if any, spicing.....almost saison-like, even without the spice.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright golden colour lightly opalescent. Shows a pillowy medium lasting white head. Barnyard, hay, wheat, dust and bready aromas develop. Very short and light carbonation opens to a somewhat slick texture and a medium body. Some bready sweetness with some bitterness and faint astringency make the flavour side. Medium bit sticky finish yet a harmonic beer and an interesting take on the belgium wit-beers leaving out the usual spices/fruit peel.
