kidmartinek (724), austin, Texas, USA Jun 17, 2008 Pours with a mess of Belgian foam, surprise, surprise. Looks like a blond in the glass fter the fanfare subsides. Nice and cloudy. Frothy head settles down to 1/4 inch. Smells like pleasant mild malt with a hint of banana. Tastes os full, complex, yeasty, mellow, with wood undertones, very smooth, and a little malty. Palate is enjoyable, full, with a small bite, and a little burn on the way down. Finish is clean and flavorful like the beer. Overall, it has a bit of woody blandness. That’s the only drawback.
yngwie (3529), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 28, 2008 Bottle. A golden beer with lots of floaties and a dense white head leaving lacings. Pale malt, grains, some spicy coriander, citrus and fruit in the aroma. The flavor has pale malt, citrus, both lime and clementine, coriander and a apple and pear fruityness. Quite dry, especially in the finish, which is fruity and quite bitter, with pale malt and coriander. Pleasantly dry and fruity beer with pale malts in a nice blend. One to drink again later on.
