COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What? We promise this beer was not intentionally timed because of a GRRReat new album that just came out, but hey, we were just lucky. Mick Jaggery is based on an English-Style ESB with a slight twist—the addition of an Indian cooking sugar called jaggery (this inspired the name before we had a recipe). Familiar and foreign at the same time, this beer will definitely give you…wait for it…satisfaction! Why? Deep crystal malts give this beer its amber color and malt-forward sweetness. The early hop additions add just enough bitterness to prevent the sweetness from taking over. The jaggery is an earthy and floral unrefined sugar that impacts the structure in such a way where it connects the later East Kent Golding hop additions to the malt sweetness. Cheers to a beer that will always create a great session.

On tap at Wits End poured a hazy reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness, fruitiness and light brown sugar. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, brown sugar and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering brown sugar finish.

Clear copperish amber with a sticky thin off-white cap head. Aroma was a bit faint but was of earthy caramel and maybe something like cardamom? Or coriander? Something like that. Flavor was light in body and in flavor. Decent flavor though, with some of that same unknown cabinet-spice, probably coriander, mixed with some light nuttiness and a little toffee. Nice flavor just kinda light.

On tap at Wit’s End. Color is an orange amber with a small tight head. Aroma is malty with some hops. It has a medium body with a slightly sharp mouth feel. Flavor of malt and caramel backed by a bold bitterness. Overall its ok, but comes across a little sharp.

4oz sample at brewery. Pours a medium amber with a small off white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of the same with some more malt and a bit belgiany. This medium bodied brew is not bad.
