Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 8, 2006 An unclear pinkish orange beer - the same color as juice from pink grapefruits, with a huge dense pinkish head. The aroma is very sweet with strong raspberry notes, and the flavor is way too sweet for me with notes of artificially fruits and raspberries. And to make it worse the body is thin. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 29, 2005 Updated: Jan 25, 2008Bottled. Dark pink, small head. Interesting balsamic raspberry aroma, like from a real Flemish red beer. Smell like beer, but don’t taste like it. The flavour is extremely sweet and very artificial with loads of saccharine and an unbearable sticky mouthfeel. The saccharine is aching in the mouth long after the beer has run down. What an utterly useless excuse for a beer from a respectable brewer! I much rather drink alcopop, Coors Light or lemonade. I have lost all confidence in Bavik. Papsoe (10279), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 29, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Damned be the artificial sweeteners. If it hadn’t been for them this would’ve been close to the perfect fruit-beer. Now the sticky, artificial sweetness detracts so much. Damned.... Pours hazy pink with a slightly pink head. Very marked - yet fresh - raspberry aroma. Distinct raspberry flavour with a rather high underlying tartness. But as said, the sweeteners are a bit too present. Does this really have Petrus Aged Pale Ale added??? 290905 Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 18, 2007 Bottle, Firefly Hazy dull beige colour. Strong raspberry syrup aroma is both candyish and heavy on the added citric acid. Could not be more artificial. Flavour is equally fake - sweet & sour - actually is strong blueberry rather than raspberry. What, the syrup supplier screwed up and nobody noticed? yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy red/brown with a light pink/white head, dense. Solid raspberry aroma. Sweet raspberry, much like soda/juice. Fruity and sweet finish. Nice but more a sodapop than anything else.
