A blend of regular Wittekerke, the best Belgian wheat beer, known for its fruity aroma and taste, together with 10% of the purest Raspberry fruit, and a dash of the Petrus Aged Pale ale, the original mother beer that is aged in oak for up to 3 years. This combination is made in heaven, beer-heaven at the Bavik brewery in Belgium.

Tap. Decent raspberry aroma. For a silly fruit beer, it has a fairly enticing bright pinkish-red appearance. Quite sweet - essentially candy - mild sour notes. Works well as a dessert beer if you’re in the mood for something sweet (which I was), but couldn’t possibly recommend it in any other mood.

.33 L bottle. A small bit of sediment remained stuck on the bottom after a full pour. The body is rosy-copper with a good off-white head and lacing. The aroma was more fruity right out of the bottle but the witbier became more obvious as the head settled. After the first sip, which seemed too sweet, my palate adjusted and I found the sweetness to be high but not objectionable. Still, I wish this had more tartness.

Pink fruit beer based on Wittekerke, a designer product trying to compete with alcopops. Light pink, stable head, deep fuchsia colour, clear. Aroma dominated by raspberry jam, grenadine or raspberry icecream, witbier character hidden underneath somewhere with slight sourishness and very faint spiciness. Very sweet grenadine taste with sourish touch, artificial, with cloying sweetness in the finish, thin and one-dimensional. Another overly sweet fruitbeer based on witbier - one of my least favorite styles.

Very fancy and bubbly. A nicer raspberry than the purple haze. Julienlikes but it's a bit spendy she give 3.8 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 6 pack of 25 cl cans bought at Boundary Crossing liquor store in Vancouver. Fizzy with evident raspberry on the nose. Not much beer taste here. More like a fizzy raspberry cooler. 2.3.

330ml bottle from Beer Dock, Crewe. Pours muddy pink. Extremely floral and very sweet. Awful stuff.

Bottle: Cloudy brown-gold with a thick white head. Raspberry, bready scent. Very sweet, raspberry, a bit wheaty. Cloying, artificial and sugary tasting. Thick.... Not too good, overall.

"a little sweet, pink, and, well, it’s packaged like a chicks energy drink for crying out loud, so i’m gonna hafta knock the "appearance" for that. it’s actually a little tasty, but you can’t tell the base is a wit. Really the wit didn’t assert itself as a wit, so there you go. this one is the better of the two. refreshing if uncomplicated."

Bottle gifted by a friend, but may be a few years old so may need to take age into consideration. A pale brownish-pink in the glass. Aroma is very sweet and sickly, but surprisingly this isn’t carried through to the flavour - which is watery fruit and a nondescript (but not sweet) finish. Not as bad as I thought it might be (was expecting very sweet and artificial tasting), but not a beer I’d be rushing to drink again.
