A blend of regular Wittekerke, the best Belgian wheat beer, known for its fruity aroma and taste, together with 10% of the purest Raspberry fruit, and a dash of the Petrus Aged Pale ale, the original mother beer that is aged in oak for up to 3 years. This combination is made in heaven, beer-heaven at the Bavik brewery in Belgium.

Hazy pink amber and a weird haze with contrasting white ringed head. Lush sweet fruit, vast over sweet fruit. Initial taste is kids juicebox, kinda dried fruit on an unwashed chair. Decent carbonation and chalky dryness. Finishes bleating sweetness, light diluting juicy and linger is swift pick up dry brassy sweet. Blurgh.

250ml bottle. Hazy orange with oversized pink-tinged white head. Fruity if a bit artificial cough drop-like aroma. Raspberry and blackberry in there. Taste is also an artificial fruity affair and less redeemable, with the fizzy carbonation not to my taste. All a bit artificial.

Tap. Decent raspberry aroma. For a silly fruit beer, it has a fairly enticing bright pinkish-red appearance. Quite sweet - essentially candy - mild sour notes. Works well as a dessert beer if you’re in the mood for something sweet (which I was), but couldn’t possibly recommend it in any other mood.

.33 L bottle. A small bit of sediment remained stuck on the bottom after a full pour. The body is rosy-copper with a good off-white head and lacing. The aroma was more fruity right out of the bottle but the witbier became more obvious as the head settled. After the first sip, which seemed too sweet, my palate adjusted and I found the sweetness to be high but not objectionable. Still, I wish this had more tartness.

Pink fruit beer based on Wittekerke, a designer product trying to compete with alcopops. Light pink, stable head, deep fuchsia colour, clear. Aroma dominated by raspberry jam, grenadine or raspberry icecream, witbier character hidden underneath somewhere with slight sourishness and very faint spiciness. Very sweet grenadine taste with sourish touch, artificial, with cloying sweetness in the finish, thin and one-dimensional. Another overly sweet fruitbeer based on witbier - one of my least favorite styles.
