3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium peachy red with a huge (3-4 finger) light pink pillowy head that receded slowly down to a medium film and collar with some excellent sticky lacing.
The aroma was intense with the smell of raspberry and had a hint of grain malts, a sweaty yeast and a touch of wheat.
The taste had a sweet tart flavor to it and a big dose of raspberry throughout with a very sweet candi sugar finish. The flavor lasted an average duration with the intense sweetness fading away at a good steady pace.
Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation.
Overall an excellent flavored Witbier that is more like drinking a wine cooler that a beer. But then again a wine cooler is a malt beverage...

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle gifted by a friend, but may be a few years old so may need to take age into consideration. A pale brownish-pink in the glass. Aroma is very sweet and sickly, but surprisingly this isnít carried through to the flavour - which is watery fruit and a nondescript (but not sweet) finish. Not as bad as I thought it might be (was expecting very sweet and artificial tasting), but not a beer Iíd be rushing to drink again.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at Winking Lizard. Cloudy dark purple-pink color with a medium pinkish-white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries and wheat. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet raspberries, wheat and yeast. The finish is fruity with a short artificial berry aftertaste. Barely average overall.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Strange yellowish purple appearance. Flavour was flowery with hops. Clear appearance and a medium body. Turned out better than anticipated. A summer thirst quencher sums it up.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I poured a 25cl can into a flute glass. It had a best before date of 8/28/15 and cost $3.49 ($0.41 per ounce).
Appearance: Pale pinkish hue with some large sediment chunks floating around. Initially pours to a large, white, foamy head, though it mostly evaporates but does leave some lacing on the glass.
Smell: Any kind of raspberry flavoring scent. Does not smell authentic. However, it does not smell bad.
Taste: I didnít think it was possible for a Belgian brewery to actually make lousy editions of their own beers, but apparently Bavik Brewery has managed to do so. I wasnít a fan of their Wittekerke witbier, though I had high hopes the Wittekerke Rosť would be an improvement. Fruit beers are difficult to screw up, but somehow it happened with this beer. Basically, it just tastes very fake. Itís overly sweet and cloying with no authenticity to it at all. Thatís odd, considering raspberry puree tends to taste great in wheat-based beers. It doesnít taste like jam, itís closer to Starburst candy. In fact, the ingredients listed on the can indicates the beer several artificial sweeteners in it. I usually dig sweet beers, but this is extremely cloying Ė so much so itís off-putting.
Drinkability: Drinking a 4.3% ABV fruit beer on a hot summerís evening is usually a winning combination. But in the case of Wittekerke Rosť, it really isnít benefited by the situation. Because itís so sweet and faux-tasting itís difficult to drink in more than small sips. The mouthfeel is thin with a watery texture and calm body, but thereís a raspberry sweetener aftertaste thatís a little annoying. Iím glad this only came in a 25cl can, as any more would be a challenge to finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Tesco, Prestwich. Amber-red with a thin head. Has a high fruitiness, the raspberry is more than evident in both aroma and taste, although not necessarily overbearing. Has a small bitter kick amongst its sweetness..

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice ending to a hot summer day, light and refreshing. Aroma of fruit punch, pours hazy golden with a tinge of red, nice full creamy head. Taste is more fruit punch, with a lingering, sticky sweet finish.
