COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also marketed as Rosarda in the UK
A blend of regular Wittekerke, the best Belgian wheat beer, known for its fruity aroma and taste, together with 10% of the purest Raspberry fruit, and a dash of the Petrus Aged Pale ale, the original mother beer that is aged in oak for up to 3 years. This combination is made in heaven, beer-heaven at the Bavik brewery in Belgium.

Bottle 25cl, a clear pink coloured beer. Nose is intense on fruit notes, very near to a fruit syrup. Aroma is very sweet, with artificial fruit aroma and sugar, poor body. Extremely bad finish with just aspartame and artificial sugar. Bad

25 cl Red Bull-sized can. Pours a pale cantaloupe hue with a medium pinkish-white head with decent retention; leaves some lace. Aroma is SweeTarts, raspberries. Taste is sweet and tart; has an artificial sweetener taste; a little salty in the finish. Nice raspberry flavor. Carbonation is medium and the mouthfeel is creamy. It’s pretty tasty, but its resemblance to beer is pretty minimal. It’s more akin to a gourmet diet soda.

Bottle. Poured a light reddish color with a smaller white head. Aroma was dominated by the raspberries. Kind of smelled like a paste. Nothing really to it. Flavor was malts, grass and of course the raspberries. Too sweet and some tart finish. Not my style of beer.

...bottle from Shep’s. Poured a soda-like pinkish hazy pour, with a creamy off-white head that lasted. Flavors were of yeast, raspberry, candy, and wheat. Creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation. Finished fruity, with some wheat and grain in there too. Too sweet, but very good.

A: The beer pours a dark pink/light red color with a pinkish tinted head. S: A very sweet aroma with lots of raspberry to it. It’s got a raspberry soda type of aroma to it with a little bit of straw and grass. Some raspberry syrup and a light wheat note. T: Intensely sweet and somewhat sugary. There is a hint of tartness to it, perhaps a little bit of citrus peel to it. A light grass flavor and tons of raspberry and raspberry soda type flavors. M: Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. O: A little sweet and soda-like for my tastes.

A surprisingly good rose beer especially because it capture’s an essential part of the Rose aftertaste. This beer is very nice fruity and malty and a real treat among Rose beers.
