2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jrallen34 (3434) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2011
I saw this bottle in the store, thought it was nice tick, didn’t know it this rare as well. Started the day with this for the ladies, and it was all that I expected...Pours a light ugly carbonated brown with a little pink. Light head that fades quick...The aroma is light tart but sweet raspberries, sweet parts are fake sugar or fruit, way to sweet and sugary in the wrong ways...The taste is more of the same, this is a sweet, sugary carbonated beer that is note a true fruit beer; more of a sweet carbonated sparkling water that is a good segway beer for new comers.
A beer not worth trying, not bad or offense, doesn’t taste bad, just not for the experienced fruit beerian.

Orlando, Fl - Whole Foods - 11.2 oz bottle. Dark orange murky pour with a sticky white creamy head. Fresh fruity aroma with nice raspberry tones, pretty natural. Flavor is fruit forward with lots of raspberry goodness. Not very sour. Mouthfeel smooth and creamy. Good dessert beer. Labeled as Wittekerke Framboise.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 crossovert (2547) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Dinky 8.4 oz can. "Brewed with artificial sweetener". Oops.
Pours into my glass with a pink grapefruit color with a bit of haze and a pure white head.
The smell is like diet raspberry soda.
It tastes like diet raspberry soda, not like beer. Awful really.
It has a decent mouthfeel. Drinkability is bad.
Is this beer?

Originally rated December 2009. Wow.... smells great at first pour, but contains aspartame ?? Cloudy pink grapefruit-juice-looking colour with a silky white head, with a little pink hue in it. Decent creamy lacing, average retention and light tiny-bubble carbonation. Beautiful raspberry juice aroma with hints of malt grain (after breathing for a while). You can make the connection with the aspartame and sodas that have that. It shows a bit in the scent, and really shows in the taste. Yes, the fruit juice is there, but where it should be naturally sweet, you feel the aspartame kicking in and killing the finish short. It is a little sticky in the mouthfeel in the end, and refreshing at first. Best before date on back label writes 16/01/10 and says beer as ingredient (as oppose to saying malt, hop, etc... ha, ha). Totally driven for women (even showing on the label), not like most fruit beers I enjoy (cut the aspartame please).

Horrible, horrible swill. Way too much raspberry crap for my liking. I’m glad a single of this was only $1.79. It was worth a rating... i guess.
