1.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Papillon (280) - Sudbury, - OCT 27, 2009
250 mL Bottle. Slightly murky and curiously pinkish body with a creamy white head. Citrus, unripe fruits, and raspberries stand out in the aroma with notes of wheat, wild berries, yeast, and earth. BLECCHHHH!!! The unnecessary addition of aspartame in this beer ruins what could otherwise be a very impressive beer. Adding such a vile substance to beer ought to be considered legally a crime and the brewery ought to be shut down. Why? WHY does anybody add $h!t like that to beer? What is this supposed to be? Some new-fangled diet drink? This beer is a Belgian national disgrace as well as an international disgrace to the world of fine beer drinking. I will never again buy any beer that I know to contain Aspartame. ATTENTION BREWERS: if you really want to sweeten your beer with an unfermentable sweetener, try something natural like stevia.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Chipalsa (483) - Florida, USA - JAN 22, 2012
The aroma was sweet, like blow-pops and alcohol. Tasted pleasant of raspberries, while a tad malty and sour too. Finished dry and quickly with a strange tangy twang.

Great amazing strong raspberry aroma. Color is pale, cloudy, with a strong rose tint. Flavor is a thick malty, buttery flavor, with some sweet, don’t raspberry. This is so much better than I expected, must buy more. Bottle from j Barleycorn.

The aroma is strongly of raspberry/cherry and some mustiness. The flavor is raspberries and sweetness, slightly leaning towards cloying. A bit too sweet, not bad overall but just really a great ale.

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 12/10/11. Clear reddish orange pour with a thick pink head. Aroma of sour raspberry (a bit feety) and malt; very clean with some tartness. Flavor of raspberry malt and a ridiculous sweetness that can only be artificial sweetener. WHYYYYYYYY????????!!!!!

Peachy pink color, with a medium head. Very fizzy and sweet - almost tastes more like champagne or a wine cocktail than beer.
