2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Parket (521) - Bruges, BELGIUM - OCT 27, 2009
bottle, yellow/white colour with medium and stable white head. Smell: malty and a bit like a cheap beer. Taste: citrus fruit, lemon, malty, sweet. You can taste it’s ’pils’-brother (the bavik). Very average and maybe too much lemon dominated witbier. Not my style.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 marcus (3763) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 23, 2009
This hazy yellow beer poured from a can with a massive white head that started to subside right away. There is a sour wheat aroma and a very thin wheat flavor with a bit of citrus and not much else. Very watery.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yinzerbeernut (180) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2009
Pale yellow and cloudy with a white pillow top head. Sweet orange zest nose served with a slice of lemon and a side of wheat. The taste is more of the same for this lighter bodied forward drinking witbier. The finish is slightly longer than what I would expect for the initial mouthfeel however everything is on the front end of the tongue.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kassner (1002) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2009
I had this Wit beer on tap at Magoos. Must say it was a bit different, with oily and soapy notes(No it wasn’t the glass). peppery and with an Ornage thrown in it was better than most of type to my tastes. Light lemon inand cloudy in appearance with no head at all. Distinctive but hard to name aroma.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Oscbert (746) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 7, 2009
~Aroma of perfumy corriander, wheat, spice and lemony orange.
~Pours a yellowish white with small white head.
~Bitter orange like flavor with corriander and other spices.
~Light feel, refreshing, spicy orange finish.
~Crisp clean and tasty. Good Witbier!
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hermod (1476) - Vantaa, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2009
300 ml bottle. Yellowish head, very fruity aroma, comes to think of coriander and lemon. Quite refreshing.
1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tmoreau (1268) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2009
Sampled at Binny’s Beverage Depot’s Mead, Cider, and Beer Tasting in Glen Ellyn, IL. Poured to my wine/sampler glass a cloudy, straw hue with a modest, bubbly head and not much lacing. The nose was yeast, light grain, and a hint of lemon zest. The flavor contributed some light spice, fizzy carbonation, thin body, and light dryness to the finish. Didn’t get me too excited, even as a quencher.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 geofbaum (21) - Delaware, USA - SEP 29, 2009
I got a six pack of cans of this mainly because I first had it at bar in Seattle on a cross-country I took. It has yellow, cloudy appearance with a citrus/banana flavor. It’s a light body beer, that was a tad bitter but not from hops possibly the age. That would account for the flat, thin feel as the head on mine was not as fluffy or full as most people seem to have. Refreshing and better then some beers for the price but not the best.
