Nose is estery, citrusy, bready and very light.
On the palate a pleasant wheaty cracker malt flavor comes through but quickly balanced with some of the interesting (almost) bananna and orangey sweet flavors. Light bodied and thirst quenching. Not a beer to slowly savor.
Would be a good substitute for orange juice in the morning, perhaps with French Toast that has been prepared with a little Grand Marnier. This beer would be perfect... ahem, bier! PaulsPissed (32), Dublin, Ireland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2009 looks interesting, pale and cloudy reminds me of lemons. little smell of wheat. the taste kind of jumps around my mouth, very fizzy with a strong taste of lemons without the bitterness overall goes down well, nice and refreshing. defiantly stands out from other wheat beers. its lighter and not as musty. viet959 (70), , Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Aroma: wheat, lemon. Appearance: cloudy yellow, medium head. Flavor: yeast, citrus, lemon. Palate: light body, thin feel, fizzy. Overall: It’s a good beer but not great. Tried it once and I think that’s good enough. It’s priced too high for it’s quality. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Bottle: Pours very light in colour, pale yellow bridging on white, with a pretty nice foamy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, yeast, lemon and coriander. Flavour is a little more bitter and hoppy than expected, bready, lemon. Authentic witbier but certainly not the best I’ve had. wimpie133 (161), Brugge, Belgium
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Bottle, 25 cl. I expected a mich worse beer actually. The beer looks the same like a Hoegaarden: yellow and hazy with a beautiful medium, creamy, lacing and lasting white head. The aroma is a bit weaker but you have the hoppy, grainy smell with coriander. The taste is hoppy, light bitter on the finish, some fruity notes adjusted. Overall a quite OK beer, not bad at all, but also not very special in taste. It’s much better than e.g. the Witbier Haacht, but is also far from the level of e.g. Celis White and Hoegaarden. kevd193213 (486), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Bottle. Light pale yellow slightly cloudy pour with a medium fizzy white head. Aroma of lemongrass and yeast. Light taste of yeast, citrus and bread with an even finish. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2009 330ml bottle. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with fizzy carbonation. A poofy white head forms as it pours and quickly dissipates. Aroma is tart, sweet, spicy and citrusy. Flavor is medium-intensity with tart lemon, light sweet malt, yeasty, earthy, with light hops. For all its fizzy carbonation on pour, the palate was disappointingly flat and watery. This would make a decent mow-the-lawn summer beer if it were cheaper. mbuisman79 (138), Amsterdam, Netherlands
