Pours a beautiful silky pale yellow white with gratuitous yeast afloat. Fine aroma of banana bread and cloves. A bit of lemon zest is present. This is a medium-flavored beer: the taste just does not live up to the beautiful appearance. Spice on the tongue is mild and the predominant flavor is wheat with not as much lemon or banana as the aroma promised. A quick and easy drinker, I was not disappointed. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Pours very cloudy pale yellow with white head. Aroma is wheat malt and peppery citrus. Upfront wheat flavors which is followed by a late citrusey and spicey flavor. Clean finish, refreshing, simple wheat beer characteristics. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2006 I can drink several of these - not exactly a session beer but I need at least 2 or 3. Nothing overwhelmingly complex, just a nice simple witbier. A little citrus and spice, just not enough to make it memorable. leitrim65 (398), Seattle, Washington, USA

Mild aroma of citrus and spice. Easy drinking, light bodied, and dry. Flavors of lemon, banana, and spice. Simply refreshing. hopscotch (5468), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Opaque, off-white ale with yellow highlights and a small, frothy, white head. Citric, breadsy nose. Spices seem to have been disregarded which makes me happy. Balanced, tart ’n’ tangy, yeasty flavor. Almost medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Very refreshing! Not brewed to style in that there seems to be no spices added. However, this is a "Best-Of-Show" notebook and I like what I like. I just stumbled upon my new favorite summer session beer! bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Aroma had corriander and citrus. Flavor was much the same with wheaty some bananas solid beer." eaglefan538 (2358), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2006 I really liked this one, although it wasn’t outstanding. Just flat out drinkable and enjoyable, despite coming from a can (Boddington and other widgeted cans are about the only ones I normally like). The pour was somewhat of a fluorescent cloudy yellow. Lacing was great, lots of rings around the glass. Aroma was mostly light spice / corriander. The flavor was citrus (lemons and oranges), over the wheat base with some light bananas. Floral aspects definitely remain in the background (a good thing). Mouthfeel was light and carbonated. Maybe the flavor could have been a TOUCH stronger, but certainly not watered down and very drinkable at the same time. Always nice to go back to a summer style beer, even in the cold months.
