crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Apr 10, 2006 Pours a hazy very light yellow, nice white head. Damn good standard belgian white. Great lemon and citrus flavors, not big on orange or banana, just lemon, very refreshing, very easy to drink, taste great. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 9, 2006 Bottle. White lasting head. Yellow unclear body. Lemon coriander aroma. Powerful lemon flavor. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Apr 8, 2006 Lots of coriander in the aroma as well as some very crisp citrus with a bit of sweetness. The beer is a hazy pale yellow and has a nice sized head that leaves a small layer on top. Initial taste is creamy with a lot of wheat malt taste. The orange and the coriander are apparent on the finish though. A light sour taste is left in the mouth. This wit seems to have the characteristics of the style, while having a nice uniqueness to how it is put together. Enjoyable. chronictonic (399), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 8, 2006 draft - ludwig’s (philadelphia) - poured a very pale yellow golden color with a small rocky white head. aroma was slightly citrusty with a hint of some spices. flavor was surprising - very lemon / lime almost (I originally said tasted like lemon Pledge). I liked that the cloviness was way in the background and subtle. Would have been better, imho, if it was a bit crisper on the palate. On draft, this would make a fine summer quaffing beer if you like belgian whites. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 8, 2006 Updated: May 26, 2007The aroma is sweet and malty with a hint of bread and herbs. The appearance is a hazy white with a medium foamy head. The flavor was not what I was hoping for, however it’s not bad. There is plenty of malt but there is a light astringent bitterness that is very much a distraction. The palate is pretty good. I was worried that it might taste like a lager and sadly I was right. It is also lacking the cloves and banana I expect from a Belgian White. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Apr 7, 2006 Pours a cloudy dirty yellow with a short lived head. Mild wheat aromas at best. The taste is a bit of a letdown even for a wit, with little or no banana or clove flavours and a slightly bitter finish. Bland. tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 6, 2006 Small bottle, beer bistro. Served in a hazy Wittekerke glass, neat! Best before April 5th or May 4th 2006. Strong aroma - lemon cough drops is the first thing that came to mind. Yeast, clove, lots here, but not terribly pleasing to my sniffer. Hazy light yellow, small creamy white head. Taste is not bad; light, refreshing, soft, but still some yeast, clove, and minor hops. It comes off as lemony sweet which detracts. Good start bad finish, ok overall experience. BeerBlockaid (538), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Mar 28, 2006 Man, who would have thought the best belgian white I’ve had would come from a can. Poured yellow urine corn colour, just like all the others. Lemon maraign(sp?) pie nose. Taste is really smooth grits wheat like with some lemon. Lots of wheat. I don’t like the whole whitte-grits thing normally, but this I can stomach easily. Might have to stock some of this in a 6-er just to say I’ve got canned beer lying around.
