lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA May 9, 2005 Appearance is hazy white gold. Pure white head with very little lace but head lasts all beer long. Smells are sweet with hints of nutmeg,
Tastes of sweet wheat malt (of course). Sweetly spicy with sour apple undertones. Light bodied sweet and refreshing.
Very drinkable brew. A decent, if not stellar wit beer.
dhlesq (233), Thousand Oaks, California, USA May 5, 2005 Aroma of aluminum that gives way to delicate hops (perhaps Saaz?) overlying sweet wheat malt. Appears pale yellow-white, appropriately hazy, with no noticeable effervescence, and a creamy white head that dissipates rapidly. Flavor is moderately sour oranges, with medium bitterness, giving way to a tangy breadiness, and ending with a noticeable spicy pepper sensation; very refreshing, very satisfying. Palate is light, moderately thin, and very bubbly. Overall, this beer was quite a suprise and it is greater than the sum of its parts. The color component of the appearance, coupled with the strong showing in the flavor department, really saw this beer through. szkot (100), Minnesota, USA May 3, 2005 Pours a hazy pale yellow. Head has some staying power. Aroma of slight spiciness. Slight flavor of wheat. Most importantly, a refreshing beer. Brad (364), Berkley, Michigan, USA Apr 25, 2005 Light golden, somewhat hazy with a white medium-sized bubbled head. Citrus aromas mostly with a slight spiciness mixed with various grains and wheat touches. Flavor was smooth and remarkable, oranges and other citrus with wheat and bread. Clean finishing. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Apr 22, 2005 Bottle. Nice hea. Light hazy yellow appearance. Citrus aroma. Taste is orange and light clove. Lightly carbonated, a little watery. Lacking complexity. PuckLSHS (101), USA Apr 18, 2005 Great beer. Citrus flavors align well with the spice added to the beer. Didn’t mind this belgain wheat at all. I can’t say that about a lot of them. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA Apr 12, 2005 Clean and well done beer with little depth. Very soft and citrusy palate very mild spice and a touch of wheat. Mild banana and orange peel notes with a very clean finish. Belgian lawnmower beer. BigSkyman007 (194), USA Apr 10, 2005 Quite good belgian wheat beer. Typical cloudy yellow color. Flavor similar to Hoegaarden, but a little bit tamer, with a bit of clove flavor to it.
