UPDATED: NOV 20, 2003 "You can only find this in one place in the Bay Area," the store owner at the liquor store in Castro District told me. It wasn't very worth it. Medium head that quickly disappeared. light bitter taste with medium wheaty flavors.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
11.2 oz can. Pours a very cloudy dark yellow with a bright white head and losts of lacing. Bit of a yeasty aroma. Tart, crisp flavor but not as estery as I would like - does not have that banana-like quality that most wheats have. Overall, a decent summer refresher. A bit of an odd mouthfeel to it, kind of an artificial pasty feel to it.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy golden colour with a large-bubbled white head. Smells of green apples, spices and a bit of wheat. Medium-bodied; Strong fruity yeast characteristics with some malt thrown in. Aftertaste fairly clean, but nice and fruity. Overll, pretty good for a belgie white! I bought this 33 cL bottle at Green's Beverages in Atlanta, Georgia and sampled it on 26-September-2003.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thies label clearly reads wittekerke. However it drinks much more like a traditional wheat than most other Belgium beers. It's a bit on the thin side but has great flavor. Extremly carbonated. I liked it, drank light but packed with wheat flavor.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was something of a disappointment, perhaps due to the fact that it's marketed in the 11.2 oz cans in Florida. I bet it's better from the bottle. I usually enjoy wit and am charitable, but this was a little to tart-clingy and cheap tasting. Bad can, cloudy lemony color. Tangy, a little spicy. Palate hung around way too long and left me wanting to spit after a bit.
