2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
a belgian beer in a can - who woulda thought... slight lemony note up front. light malt / wheat body. moderately complex flavors - but nothing very forward. little bit of spice / no bitterness. not bad - not exactly my style though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bright lemony aroma springs out when poured. Active, quickly dissipating head is perfectly white and the body is an extremely pale yellow that takes on a faint greenish tint at times. Nice balance of citrus and spices. Flavor tastes on more of the orange peel than lemon and coriander is noticeable but not too strong. Actually quite enjoyable and not bland at all.

Nice, inexpensive Belgian White. Very light and refreshing, with a mild orange and coriander finish.

I enjoyed this beer. I have yet to have found a Belgian brew that was bad. I suggest to anyone to try this beer. It has a nice head that last for a while as well as a nice pale golden color.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
mellow zesty aroma with overwhelming orage peel. Sooo cloudy, you could tell the cloudyness through the bottle. Lots of sediment. Juicy and very spicey, lots of coriander. Excellent wheat. I would drink this religously.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy light straw color with a tall translucent white head. Aroma could hit you from across the room. Perfume/fruit with an undertone of dried herbs. Light bodied with enough substance not to be watery. Flavors tend to be more spicy (coriander). Drier finish. A great quencher.

Wittekerke: Sensationally drinkable! Iíve found my favorite witbier! Though this is milder than Hoegaarden and looks scarier than a sprinterís urine sample right before the 100-meter dash, itís so easy to drink and yet still retains the characters of a wit that I like: cloudiness, some spice notes (coriander, pepper) and plenty of wheat. Way underrated, IMHO.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The most urine-y smell Iíve encountered in a beer yet, plus vinegar and a bit of yeast. Bland wheat, watery texture, and it needs more spice. Not a wit to get worked up about, but a definite quaffer.

Well I said I would rate this again and here goes. Hazy milky yellow with significantly more head than I got last time although it was just a short lasting but it did leave some light lace. Light sour mash malt, some citric and very faint ginger coriander aromas - uhmmmmmm... much nicer than before. Smooth light bodied, mild citric sour and hoppy bitter start. Maltier sweeter middle and then a bland to nothing finish. A small but significant improvement over the previous rating. First rated 6/5/2002 2.3

Opaque tan; malty, wheaty, slightly spicy (styrians) aroma; creamy, marshmallowy maltiness; spritzy middle; herbal, off-dry finish.
