Beautiful presentation with a pear juice glow. Sweet urine, grass, orange in the nose. Very crisp. Refreshing.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
according to the label: íthe best belgian witbier on the marketí; I never made good experiences with beers claiming such things - pale cloudy orange colour, fine head, nice lace, discreet perfumy and spicy aroma, citrusy, crisp, sweet and refreshing, moderate citrusy finish - lacks of complexity

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
big foamy head, very light color, malty nose and lemony flavor...not bad, but not one of my favorites of the style

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately hops-like (citrus - lemon and orange, flowers), lightly yeasty (soap), with light notes of ginger, honey, and coriander. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Pretty bland, even for the style...very light sweet flavor with some tartness. The aroma is mostly pleasant, but a little soapy and not as bright/strong as some.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Milky texture and pear juice colored body, densely cloudy, although light in color, while an impressive smooth white foam. The first hints of aroma are somewhat disappointing showing something similar to a pilsener with a simple balance of malt and hops. However a few subsequent whiffs do give some signs of herb, maybe coriander (later confirmed) and a vague orange spice.
The carbonation does seem a little underdone, although there is a comforting soft, smooth silkiness that pleases the palate. It’s on the lighter side of medium confirming this beer as a fairly easy drinker.
The flavors, while pleasing, did seem a little unconvincing not seeming to go the distance. Fruity esters and a clean bubble gum flavor greet the tip of the palate, while there’s a light mixture of lemon and orange in the middle. An underlying hoppiness lies beneath the surface without ever really bursting through but just providing a little crispness in the finish. Hoppiness is not really a key factor in beers of this style but overall the beer did seem just a little too sweet. The aftertaste is also pretty brief and clean.
Bought this 6er for $3.99 and would have to say it was worth every penny. Something of a poor manís Hoegaarden.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy bright yellow color with a creamy head. Slightly sweet with a slight wheat sourness. No fresh herb taste like many other witbeers but tasty nonetheless. Excellent value at $3.99 for a sixer.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2003 Well, at least it"s unique. Sharp sourness rounded out with an oaty smoothness. The most interesting looking wit I have seen.

A little sweet. But I expected more from a belgian white.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Maybe it was because Iíd already sampled so many good beers that night, but this Belgian wit left me wanting. Barely-perceptible smell of wheat and corriander. Body is medium-light, with a mild wheatist texture. Whereís the spicy flavor?! No aftertaste either. This is LAME!

Love the appearance. They drink this stuff at parties. When I was at college we drank Icehouse. Why could I have not been born in Europe?
