3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Found this one in a can. I think that i now have a new favorite beach beer since i cant take glass down there. the hazy body is that impressive witbier glwoing golden yellow color. i just love that color. the aroma is highlighted by a citrussy sweet aroma that seemsto at the same time give off spicy notes just because i wasnt already intriged enough. the flavor was more citrus, lemon and somewhat sour, but good, orange. there was a malty background that hinted at the wheat used in this style. the finish was slightly tart citrus, very refreshing actually. the body was just thicker than moderate thanks to all that protein in the wheat.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2003 Considering all that I read about this beer being canned, and that I bought my bottle for 99 cents: it's really not that bad.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Found as Bavik Wittekerke. Light, with a cloudy appearance, tart sweetness almost like someone already added some lime.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not much of a taste to it. Very thin. Not in the same league as Hoegaarden or even Blue Moon.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yeasty aroma with an extremely cloudy staw colored appearance. The mouth feel is full and stikes you immediately (for the style). Very reserved ruity aroma and favor, almost too malty and sweet. But is very drinkable and would be a great summer beer.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is the first "wit" I have seen in the can. I thought by the smell that it would be better than it was. I felt the whole thing was a little weak and light. I wasn’t impressed from the beginning and the end left nothing to remember.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cloudy pale yellow color. Light hops and citrusy notes in the nose. Light tart impressions. Body is lightly fruity, sweet, smooth and quite thin. Not much here for a Belgian Wit, I only bought it cause it was canned. I’ve never seen a Witbier in a can before.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
biscuity aroma with notes of apple, average head. It had a dead end taste, not much of a climax. Very dry, malty taste.

this bottle says "wittekerke, authentic belgian wheat beer". i am not sure if this is the same as their white beer that is rated here but oh well. i quite liked it. frothy white head over a hazy light apricot colored beer. nose was soured citrus and a bit metallic (what is it with me anymore, everything smells like metal?!) flavor is indeed reminiscent of pineapple or apricot but not overpoweringly so. very light and easy to drink. i liked this *better* than hoegaarden.
