tagz (287), USA Jan 6, 2008 bottle. pours cloudy yellow, white. lots of yeast chunks floating around. the mouth of the bottle was a bit caked as well. i’m a fan of yeasty beers but this was a little overboard on the sediment. light wheat and citrus aroma. flavor was gritty wheat, somewhat of a cardboard taste as well. some lemony element. in general just a very plain wheat flavor. no spices or fruity yeast.
Wim (594), Turnhout, Belgium Jul 17, 2008 cloudy white yellow coloured body with a white head a sweet spicy citrus aroma a sweet spicy little fruity taste with a spicy bitter finish Sandman2222 (11), Florida, USA Jul 14, 2008 Great beer. I like the can effect. Though being steel, it makes me sad to tip the beer to my lip and find nothing left. Smells of wheat and some straw. Tastes of wheat banana, and citrus. Very well done. GreenWall (28), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Jul 13, 2008 Hazy golden, copious white moussey head. Coriander/citrus plus mystery spice (fennel?) in the (slightly soapy?) aroma, a tad vegetal. Plenty of wheat twang with background pils sweetness. Fruity/citrus, floral, very mild phenolics, and a hit of aluminum from the can I poured it out of. Were it fresher, spicier, and packaged better, it would be a solid solid wit. eeblah (77), Arizona, USA Jul 11, 2008 Good overall white style beer with a golden whitish color. Its hard to go wrong with Belgian. Clean and refreshing very easy to drink, good all year round. brianprentiss (384), Mountain View, California, USA Jul 6, 2008 decent witbier overall. drank it out of a can while giving my young son a bottle, so I’m sure the flavor didn’t really come through, but it wasn’t much to chew on.
