Brewed with organic roasted barley and chocolate malts for a rich, dark and robust flavor with an infusion of organic vanilla beans and coffee from the Dominican Republic farm community Alta Gracia.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a nice looking fluffy khaki head. Aroma of medium roast coffee, roasted nuts, vanilla, and a touch of smoke. Flavor is predominantly coffee with a touch of sugar. Also notes of malt and vanilla. The flavor is a bit subtle and distant (watered down?) at times. Soft nutty and slightly smoky finish. Fine body but slightly flat. I enjoyed overall.

12oz bottle. Black brown color, thin head, looks almost like Coca-Cola. Awesome coffee aroma. I picked up some different flavors from this one on tap, perhaps some dirty lines. This is really a nice beer, with solid quality coffee taste, and a smooth, mellow body. Chocolate and vanilla tones. Not as thick and unsessionable as a Coffee Stout, this one has a lovely soft body, somewhere between medium and full bodied. Excellent stuff.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small fizzy beige head that faded to a thin film. Huge earthy coffee bean nose with a minimal contribution from the vanilla beans. Nice roast and chocolate notes as well, but this is clearly all about the coffee. The coffee and vanilla even out a bit on the flavor, mostly coffee up front, but the vanilla expresses itself a bit more on the finish. A nice bitterness level from the coffee, malt, and light hopping. An unexpectedly nice mouthfeel, I havenít come to expect too much from the Wolaverís line, but this is more full and soft than most others Iíve had. Not watery at all. Moderate soft fizzy carbonation. This was surprisingly good. Iíll gladly grab a sixer of this if I have another opportunity.

Gritty coffee-ground aroma. Semi-sweet chocolate. The coffee angle is a bit of a fetish here. Mostly cold coffee. The appearance is deep brown-black. Not much head. Good color, not much body. Flavor is more coffee grounds but now with sweet caramel and molasses. While the coffee flavors arenít unpleasant, they are actually out of place, porter or not. Feels gritty at the start, but encased in an oily finish. To me, this is iced coffee (not my thing, I like it hot). It doesnít taste like a beer to me. Itís not bad, itís just not that good.

12oz bottle. Yet another sub-par offering from Wolavers. Not sure what it is but every Wolavers I have tried has lacked character and tasted on the bland side. This is slightly better than the other Wolavers I have had but still falls short compared to most of the other porters out there. Predominant taste is coffee but more of an instant coffee taste as opposed to fresh brewed.

Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a small tan head, the aromas smells like roasted malt, but really like fresh gound coffee beans. the taste is, malty, with an initial taste of coffee, a finish the same. this is pretty good i think

Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso. Amber color with a light tan head. Aroma of coffee and vanilla beans. Flavor of burnt coffee, like a weak Starbucks. Bitter and acidic with weak body. Disappointing.
