COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our winter seasonal brew, Alta Gracia Coffee Porter is made in cooperation with the Vermont Coffee Company using 100% certified fair trade, organic coffee from the Alta Gracia farm in the Dominican Republic. Alta Gracia Coffee Porter is an exceptionally smooth and flavorfully complex beer that is surprisingly true to the porter style. The hint of vanilla brings out the sweetness of the dark-roasted Dominican coffee.

Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma is almost all of coffee with some roasted malts, and chocolate. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Pretty much coffee and thatís it.

Medium sized tan head, decent retention and lace. Nearly opaque, black, some ruby edging.Nose is roast, black coffee chocolate and light smoke. Body is almost medium, light carbnonation, sorta thin. Roast and coffee flavors, some sorta vegetal matter, minty notes, weird, caramel, milk chocolate. Dry roasty finish, organic funkiness i guess?? Bottle from statelineliquors.

Slightly viscous, deep brown, smaller head... Aroma is of clean black coffee with not many discernable underlying tones... Coffee also very much dominates the flavor... A little thinner than expected, slick, medium bodied, very one dimensional...

Bottle/12oz - Pours a very dark black/brown in color with a very thin tan head that faded to a few bubbles. Low carbonation. Aroma is strong of coffee/espresso and very little else. Flavor is also strong of coffee, but there is a bit of the vanilla beans coming through. Palate is smooth. Vanilla lingers on the tongue along with the bitterness of the coffee. No ABV listed, but I would guess that it is higher than average. Flavor improved as the beer warmed up. I ended up enjoying this more than I thought that I would when I first started. Actually a decent coffee porter...

On tap at Cloverleaf. This is a coffee lovers beer. Perhaps the strongest coffee flavor in a beer I have ever had... and I have had a lot of coffee beers. Pours a black color with a caramel colored head. Has a straight coffee taste with some chocolate notes through the finish. A medium creamy mouthfeel. Too much coffee for me... but I am sure coffee drinkers will love this brew.

Looks like cold coffee, no head. Big and black. Smells like cold coffee. Big dark bitter thickish palate. Some muild sizzle, generally. Goes flat near the end of session. Lots of vanilla with the coffee. Seems fairly strong. Bitter imperial finish. A little coarse for a porter, eh.

Bottle. Pours dark red/brown with a small mocha head. Aromas of freshly ground espresso, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Flavor is roasty coffee, cocoa, and a bit of vanilla, with a slightly sour coffee finish. Medium to high carbonation, a bit warming, and dry. Good stuff, I wish I had had this with breakfast instead of coffee.

12 oz bottle. Pours black w/ small-ish tan head. Barely any lacing. Aroma: what else but coffee. And a really strong, singular coffee aroma-- perhaps more so than any other beer Iíve had. Faint notes of vanilla on the end. Flavor... coffee. Moderate carbonation, thin body. Roasted malt aftertaste and almost no alcohol presence. Like drinking an alcoholic coffee. Not a lot of depth, but tasty none-the-less.

The porter pours dark chocolate with a creamy biege head. The strong aroma of coffee hits the nose with light pleasant vanilla notes. The body is medium, lighter than expected and smooth. The flavors of roasty malts and coffee dominates the palate.
