I agree brown ale it is not. I found a sweet begining and somewhat thin body.

Moderately clear light orange? Thin tiny bubbled white head. Light carbonation. Lightly toasted and sweet malt aroma with some earthy/floral hops in the mix. Hoppy bite on the first sip, pungent and fresh. Light malt sweetness and very mild toasted aspects. Fresh cut grass flavor. Medium body, nicely balanced. Finishes fruity and crisp? and hoppy? This is a brown ale? I had to check the bottle to make sure I had the right one. A good beer, but a brown ale it ain’t, organic or not.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2004 Bottle says 01/09/02 Batch 1095 drank on 2/2/2: Dark amber color with a good sized off-white head. A unique brown ale with a spicy taste. Excellent malty taste that dominates this beer.

Very sociable and easy drinking broon ale that just does more of its fair share on the palate. Chocolate coffee flavors, well roasted with very brief hop finish.

A full bodied brown that strikes a good balance between malt and hop flavours.

Nice beer, lots of hops and nice malty presence. Solid american brown, much better than the rather tepid IPA.

Some fizzy carmel notes pop with the cap and then the aroma settles into dust and pepper on a light-medium bodied high-medium effervescent a bitter brew. Slightly resinous.

A full bodies brown with lots of dark malt accent and hoppy flavors. One of my favorite Brown ales in the states.

Thin for a brown ale, but maintains a thick, creamy head through out the drink. Moderate roasted nut flavor that becomes bland towards the end, but very smooth and well balanced.

the bottle that i am drinking from states that it is brewed by ybor city brewing company FOR panorama brewing company.
shades of sam adams?
that said, this IS a tasty beer. more carbonation than the ybor brown ale and more bitterness also (hops, right?)
personally, i like the ybor brown ale better.
i suppose that the organic thing is a marketing ploy.
