3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thin for a brown ale, but maintains a thick, creamy head through out the drink. Moderate roasted nut flavor that becomes bland towards the end, but very smooth and well balanced.

the bottle that i am drinking from states that it is brewed by ybor city brewing company FOR panorama brewing company.
shades of sam adams?
that said, this IS a tasty beer. more carbonation than the ybor brown ale and more bitterness also (hops, right?)
personally, i like the ybor brown ale better.
i suppose that the organic thing is a marketing ploy.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2003 June 2001:Gorgeous red-wine color and inviting if faint aroma give way to a deliciously complex fruity flavor followed by a slightly bitter but quick finish. An excellent brown ale from one of Vermont's best brewers.
Jan 2003: Another beer I vastly overrated in my early days; really seems too sweet upfront, yes there is some balancing spiciness and odd interesting flavors, but little to no hops and a mouthfeel that is just a little too smooth and cream-soda like. OK, but not great.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A spicy, almost minty aroma, a sweetish, grainy flavour, thin body and late astringency. Reminds me of Newcastle.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer has a nice mellow flavor; not too bitter and not too sweet. Could possibly use a bit more color and some additional hop flavor, but all in all this is a nice American brown.

A admirable American Brown. A nice generous dose of caramel malts and hops in both taste and aroma. Maintains a pleasant mid-palate fruity sweetness with a mild bitterness in the finish.
