4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice Malty aroma and flavor slightly offset by a bit of hops and ends with a pleasant smokey/roasted flavor. Very complex for a brown, well balanced and a good session beer.

Hoppy aroma with a bit of malt. Red-brown color with small head that laces. Smooth carb with medium body. A bit nutty, slightly sweet start. Crisp, bitter finish and nutty after. Could be a bit more malty but very good.

Nice beer, lots of hops and nice malty presence. Solid american brown, much better than the rather tepid IPA.

This completes the Wolaver’s trio for me. Cloudy brown appearance, average head. Candy, caramel, sherry in the aroma - I found the smell quite attractive. I’d describe the flavor as having the same components of the aroma, but with some added sourness and bitterness that didn’t seem to mix well. I did get the cherry and black currant in the taste, and they were more than just a hint toward the finish. Unusual but not bad.

Smells very hoppy for a brown. Strong notes of caramel. Pours a slightly hazy deep brown color with a small tan head. Strong notes of caramel and chocolate with a good amounts of hops thrown in. A very tasty brown. Certainly one ill look for again.
