2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Deep amber color. Thin head. Aroma of floral hops, cherry, and bready malts. Tart palate, very bitter and sour for a brown or amber ale. Some hops character, vague spicy cherry and brown sugar, and some bitter malts. Just hit me like a brick, but not in a good way.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours brown w/ a tiny head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is sweet malt. The taste is oddly sweet but lacking in traditional chocolate & hop flavors. Kind of a weird brown & not in a good way!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Right on...I’m digging what Wolaver’s is throwing down. This is on the sweet side, and I like it. Delivers on its billing and there is not much to add. 12oz bottle.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
"creamy and luscious it is not (as the brewer states). it’s an ok beer that has all the aroma and flavor expected of your average brown ale. just nothing special."

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance is more amber like a dark IPA than a brown. Aroma is malt, oak, nut, wheat. Taste is the same. Dank oak and nut. Bitter on the end.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - 341ml. Nice amber body with a thin, off-white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar and honeyish hints. Its decent malty/hoppy taste carries woody notes. Ends with a good bittersweet finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home from early backlog notes 07. Pours a clear brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have caramel malt, nuts, light toast with mild earthy bitterness. The aroma was fairly light even with warming. Nothing more than a basic brown.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber and hazy appearance with some foam that disappeared quickly. Mild amount of lacing.
Very hoppy smell.
Bitter and hoppy taste with some caramel undertones. I wasn’t getting much vanilla. Not much aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is smooth and thin. Not too much carbonation.
Overall a decent beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Drought. Dark amber with very small foamy beige head, doughy aroma, low carbonation, slightly bittewr taste. Medium finish with a little bitter aftertaste. Not very remarkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a copper/red, slightly brown colored body and leaves a nice off-white two finger foamy head that lasts for a good two minutes. The body is too dark for any carbonation to be seen rising. Some minimal spotty lacing is seen here and there.
The smell has some grainy nuttiness backed up with some slight malty breadiness.
The taste has pretty much the same smells in the flavoring.
The palate sits about a medium with some slight harshness on the tongue. The aftetaste is dry. I would say this is fairly drinkable.
Overall, as much as I like browns, this one hmmm. . . I kinda don’t think I’d come back to. Why? Well, probably because there are too many other browns that I enjoy more. Its just another average brown.
