12oz into a pint. Pour is an average slide of brown and mild mocha. No real substantial carbination, flat at most times. Brown ale body does not present itself consistently, leading to more of a flat brew. head is receding and bland. Taste is medi oaker and dull, but can and does resemble a fine finishing brown at the beginning with its sweet malt and brown sugar additions. the price of the 12 pack was good though.

(On tap farmhouse tap n’ grill): Ennuyeux, peu malté, peu houblonné, croustillante et sans saveur sinon une légère brise florale.

Nice amber color, small head, light lacing. Sweet smell of caramel. Tastes on the light side, a little more robust than some brown ales but less so than the great ones. Not bad but probably wouldn’t buy again.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 beerscout (274) - New Windsor, New York, USA - JAN 27, 2013
Bottle. Deep amber color. Thin head. Aroma of floral hops, cherry, and bready malts. Tart palate, very bitter and sour for a brown or amber ale. Some hops character, vague spicy cherry and brown sugar, and some bitter malts. Just hit me like a brick, but not in a good way.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 idedek (157) - USA - SEP 8, 2012
the aroma is solid with caramel, hints of vanilla and a richness. the flavor doesn’t match the nose a mild caramel flavor and light hops. though very little and it’s very mild. the finish is way to hoppy for a brown and leaves a odd sweetness not very nice

Aroma of yeasty hops.
Tastes of fruity hops with caramel malt. Tangy hops notes.
Palate is medium bodied.
Overall, pretty good, a hoppy beer for the brown ale style.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped: 3295051712. It looks like a brown should with its deep amber pour and lingering but smallish head. The aroma is rather weak with a little malt and a little hop but nothing outdoes the other. The body is medium and creamy. The taste tends to favor a clean, crisp hoppy character but it is also a tad astringent.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 HardingG (70) - Butler, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Pretty good. A touch too hoppy - I’d prefer it to be smoother. Aroma was average and didn’t grab me - Appearance was great. Nice lasting head with plenty of lacing. In taste I noted the vanilla, but I also caught the over abundant hops which detracted from the overall and the palate.

Clear medium amber with a ring head and spotty lacing. A Traditional ale with more caramel malt at the beginning, more hop balance at the finish. Works well enough to have again, but certainly not a memorable brew.
