3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head which lingered.......aroma of maltiness.....taste is mild grassy notes, maltiness, bittering in the end which lingers. A fair example of a British IPA more so than an American and definitely not a West Coast. Decent for the style.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
amber-orange, hazy with fine particulate sediment floating around. Yellow condensed-milk head, medium fine with moderate-slow rate of decay. Aroma is bready caramel, earthy, leafy pine forest, rye bread. I’m going to pretend this is a pale ale and not an IPA. Body is medium, syrupy, somewhat oily. Carbonation is fat, light intensity, with light, tingly burn. Flavor is a bitter sour dough bread, bitterness is slightly metallic. There is a hint of tart orange with lemon in there. Bitterness lingers a bit, not overwhelming. Overall, a disappointing IPA. I wish I hadn’t gotten this one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank from the bottle. Aroma is comprised of citrus, hops, caramel, and bread. The taste of the beer comes off more as an English IPA, malt foot forward with a decent hop background. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a sticky mouth feel. It was a solid beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Decent amber pour w/ a big foamy white head that leaves lacing. The aroma is only slightly malty w/out much hop scent whatsoever. The taste is a blend between sweet malt & hop bitterness & it almost works! Not quite as bad as the scores may indicate. It’s drinkable if nothing else!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
"a little more assertive on the flavor and aroma than Bison, otherwise still fairly average. a little too much carbonation on too little body, otherwise ok."

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a beautiful lightly hazed orange-copper color with a two finger off white head. The head has big carbonation bubbles entrapped within, which upon popping slowly over time give a lighter level of lacing.
Smell - The aroma is a blend of sweet and hop. A nice caramel sweetness acts as a base with hop aromas of a heavy floral and earthy hop smell. With these aromas is also a very light amount of a sweet orange hop as well. Quite nice.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready flavor mixed with a light citrus and floral/herbal smell. The herbal and floral hop intensify and drown out the citrus as the taste goes on. Also as the taste advances the lighter sweetness that was present upfront decreases as well. More toward the end of the taste a large earthy hop flavor comes to the tongue. The earthy, when mixed with the other hop flavors leaves a bitter, but yet somewhat sweet flavor on the tongue as some citrus sweetness comes to the taste as well. The aftertaste these flavors leave on the tongue is quite interesting.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the above average side in terms of creaminess with a carbonation level that is just below average. The creaminess really accentuates the earthy hop nicely, although a slightly higher carbonation level may have been nice for the other hop flavors.
Overall – It is actually quite different then the “more standard” ~ 6-7 % abv IPA. Not nearly as citrus and much more earthy. It is a nice break from the more traditional and is well worth a try.
