3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a bad stout at all. It doesn’t seem to big a hearty as other stouts. The flavor is good but it doesn’t hit the palate like other top stouts do. I would definitely recommend this beer...especially to stout beginners and fanatics.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Took a while to get into this, but I liked it in the end. Carbonation was very light, and the pour looked thin. Dark black color with little head. Sour taste initially which softened throughout the pint. (poured from a bottle BTW). Good coffee and oatmeal flavor later. Was initially thinking this beer might score under a 2, but it rallied.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle. Pours very dark with light tan head. Aroma: caramel, coffee, chocolate. Appearance: Black color, minimal tan head. Taste: light sweet, light bitter. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Overall, after drinking a few from the Wolaver’s variety pack, this Oatmeal Stout is quickly becoming one of my favorite local stouts.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Black beer with a small but lasting brown head. Licorice aroma, milky chocolate, cocoa powder, figs, soot, some vanilla notes in the background, viol, coffee notes, some raisins. Coffee flavor, licorice, figs, cocoa powder, vanilla, roasted, soot, some smoked notes. A bit thin bodied, but otherwise a very nice beer. Milk chocolate finish, vinous, grassy, licorice and some vanilla.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Not quite opaque brown with no head or lace. Aroma is all sweet coffee and chocolate with a little licorice but the. Flavor is industrial sweetener, burnt coffee and bitter finish. Everything tastes made with industrial ingredients and nothing jives or has much dimension. Why is it that organic beers are usually bad. Mouthfeel is harsh and sticky. Pretty unpleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Straight from bottle. Aroma of toasted malt, with notes of coffee.
Taste is not bitter as stouts go and is particularly sweet, with grain and earthy flavors. Notes of sugary coffee as well as black coffee. Nice balance of malt, which is creamy caramel.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours super dark and thick. Great notes of roasting and coffee in the nose. Surprisingly light and easy on the palate for being such a thick beer. An almost mocha flavor, though it lacks the harshness that coffee does. Really great find.
