Brewed with over 200 pounds of organic rolled oats in each batch, this smooth-as-silk stout is brimming with darkly roasted malts and rich notes of chocolate and coffee. A mocha-topped, black-as-night body gives way to a surprisingly smooth, full-bodied experience in this unfiltered offering.

Pours black with a wispy tan head. Aroma is roast, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is sweet with a nice roast bitterness that tempers back to sweetness on the finish. Solid sweet stout. Mouth feel is almost creamy.

Great smell of oats. Dark pour with with a nice brown head. Smooth taste with a slight aftertaste. One of the few stouts that I prefer cold instead of around 50ş. Overall a good oatmeal stout for the price.

Toffee and coffee notes on the nose...Smells amazing. Quarter inch of caramel foam, solid black pour, bitter cereal flavor on the middle of the tongue.

Název stylu mluví za vše - pivák to byl sladký jako cecek, ale jinak celkem pitelný. Konzistence černého kafe, skoro žádná pěna. Lahváč z nového jorku.

12oz into a pint. Pours a murky thick brown/black/lava-ish dark goo, taste is sweet, compelling and malty. The stout qualities of this one resinate in the malt backbone that then transpires into the sweetness where danty chocolate drops and licorice run around. Head is a ring o round the glass with a few islands. carbination is mild, body is medium/full, and the tartness within the aftertaste turns around the sweet splenda type sugar taste towards a dry coco bitter porter. but then that sweetness brings this one back, midly yet forcefully reminding one of the dark presence within. Good deal for the winter time, or just any time really.

12-oz bottle. Pours almost black with ruby cast around the edges. One-finger head that dissipates quickly into a shallow ring. Light lacing. A nice open and airy aroma, filled with roasted coffee beans, cocoa powder, and almonds. Taste is true to the aroma. Sweet and nutty with good roasted coffee bitterness. Some sour lactose notes. Medium body with a slick texture. Carbonation softens within a few minutes. Nice long finish. Very pleasant. A good stout that doesn’t sacrifice taste for drinkability. -Fish!

Really love this beer. Not a perfect oatmeal stout, but great for sipping on a cold winter day.

Lighter body than I anticipated. Coated the palate nicely. Smooth. Would recommend to anyone shy about drinking stouts ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is my gold-standard oatmeal stout. Finally had on on tap at Columbia Gorge Hotel. Ninkasi Oatis comes close, but this one really satisfies all aspects of stouthood. Check out the Organic Beer Festival at Overlook Park this summer - Wolaver is always there and always hits it out of the park, especially on a nitro tap!
