(Bottle) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. Tan head with a deep orange body. Nose is somewhat medicinal and buttery. Flavour of mildly buttery pine hops. Not bad.

Very metallic hoppy nose, some butyric acid or similar harshness. Carbonic and acrid with some off notes. No malt character in nose. Clear amberish brown with thin off-white head. LIght body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with hint of acrid ’bile-at-the-back-of-the-throat-tang’, not very appealing. Little bit of bitter nutty malt character but mainly bitter hops. Metallic notes, carbonic gaseousness, acrid - too harsh. Not well balanced. After is bitter and dry, though not chalky. Medicinal bitter, almost. Not very enjoyable, overall.

This is a nice, fresh pale ale. Very solid flavors and no ruddiness that you find with other organic brews. Very comparable, if not better than, Sierra Nevada. Highly recommended. Brew date on bottle! I picked it up for $7.49/a sixer at the local green store. Check it out.

Bottled on 11/29/05, Lot #1826. Small ivory head that mostly diminished, sparse lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Nose was malty, caramel, somewhat sweet, and hops. Flavor was malty, caramel, mildly hoppy, some caramel, and thin. Mouthfeel was mildly tingly and thin. Light-medium body. Decent flavor, but not a whole lot going on here.

12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel, floral, and citrus. Thinner body and on the boring side.

Pours a translucent golden amber with a smaller off white bubbly and light lacing head. Aroma of caramel, vegetables, some grainy malt sweetness and maybe some hops hidden in there. Flavor of caramel, some grapefruit, pine and metallic. Flavor is a good bit better than the aroma.

WOW, this was awesome! Pours a clear dark, almost amber yellow with cream head. Has a malty aroma. Medium body taste with the perfect blend of hops and malt. Finishes wet and smooth. Usually I expect a bit more hoppiness from a pale ale, but I was pleasantly suprised. Love it. I think I’ll have another!

Biottle. Pour light amber with a good noe of hops and light malts. Decent head that left average lacing. Mouthfeel rich for an APA. Finsh good with nice bitterness.
