2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Nov 2, 2006 In our opinion, this is the best of the Wolavers pack. It pours a nice amber hue with a fizzy, light-brown head that fully dissipates. Fair lacing. Aroma is of moderate malts with molasses notes, light hops with flower notes, and light dough yeast. Initial taste is flat, with a lightly bitter finish. Light on the palate, it has a light creamy consistency with fizzy carbonation. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Oct 30, 2006 I love the Cascade and Hallertau hops, and this has some vague brown sugar malty flavors running in there somewhere. But it’s still somehow less than the sum of its parts. Still tastes great if you’re not looking for something mind blowing. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Oct 7, 2006 Bottle: Pours a light amber / light orange color with a small offwhite head. Aroma is somewhat muted blend of malts and hops, taste is a crisp hops with a bit of citrus and a smooth maltiness. One of the better organic IPA’s that I have sampled to date. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Oct 7, 2006 Nice bit of hops on the nose. Actually not bad for a Pale. Some bitterness but overall,a nice refreshing Pale Ale. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Sep 20, 2006 Bottle. Poured a clear somewhat effervescent amber with a moderate off-white head. Malty scent that was light on hops and somewhat salty. Super mild hops flavor over a strong malt body before finishing with a whisper of bitterness. Smooth but slightly oily on the tongue this was pretty bland. dwedin (238), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 14, 2006 Smells of cheerios and fruit. Somewhat balanced flavors but an off bitterness lingers. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 3, 2006 Bottle. Clear amber/light orange with a thin frothy white head. Aroma of malt with citrusy hops. Nice balance of light caramel malt and hops, which are clearly present throughout but not overpowering. Smooth palate, with a slight hop bitterness on the finish. Pretty decent APA. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2006 Bottle: Nice shiny amber and bubbly, capping itself off with a solid foamy white head. Invitingly crisp citrus hoppy nose. The flavor is more subdued, a shy grassy/pine hoppiness with a subtle oily texture. Good.
