| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Pours a rich copper-amber body and a fluffy cloud-like whitish head. Big caramel-candy nose. Medium-soft mouthfeel. Metallic presence lingers after first sip. Distinct bitter grapefruit and citrus finish. Not too bad, but a little oxidized. msante79 (819), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours golden burnt orange with soapy off-white head. Aroma is malty and citrus hops. Flavor is hops, bready malts, citrus and touch of caramel. Mouthfeel is thick and malty but does have hop bitterness. Nothing special but far from the worst APA I have had. gsmitty80 (638), Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Sep 6, 2008 This beer was very refreshing. The organic component lended a nice crisp and clean taste with good hops balance backing it. Left a subtle finish, good. drpimento (815), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Reminds me more of an English Pale Ale. Hazy amber color. Some head and lace. Some malt and grapefruit aroma. Lots of malt, listed hops, and citrus in the flavors. Also big in the sweetness dept. Not one of my favs. Kind of a long finish. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Slightly hazy amber, moderate off-white head. Nice aromatic fruity hop aroma. Nicely balanced sweet caramel malts and floral/fruity hop character with a medium-bitter finish. Easy-drinking, enjoyable. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is bready with a hint of citrus. Pretty reddish amber color with no head. Flavor is mild hops and citrus, braced by a balancing bitterness that by no means overpowers. Decent finish. bhensonb (4245), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2008 Bottle from Sondra. Color is sort of copper amber - but it changes with light and aspect. The white head didn’t last long. Bready aroma backed by a hint of bitter. Flavor is more than a hint of bitter. It’s roasted malt with citrus and grassy hop. Very tasty. Balanced, maybe even "perfectly" so. Finish is neither sweet nor dry, and there is a citrus nuance. Nice APA. No pretensions to grandeur, but it tastes good. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Bottle, bottled 4/28/08. Aroma of some odd heavy/earthy fruits, a bit peppery. Flavor is pretty sweet with only a weak, bland bitterness. Malt-based without much character in the malt even. Bland.
