Orange in color with a thin white head. Light floral hops aroma. Mildly sweet flavor with some flowery taste.

12oz Bottle: Aroma of hops, malts, and a bit of citrus. Orange/copper in color with small lasting white head and good lacing. Flavor of malts and then hops. Fresh tasting. Easy to drink. Great dry finish. Overall, the best beer I’ve had from Wolaver’s.

"Organic" usually means "buy it because its good for your conscience, not because it taste good". This stuff does taste pretty good, just not, y’know, outstanding or anything

Little head on my pour, but attractive orange-ish color with yellow showing through around the rim. Very enjoyable aroma, suggesting summer fruits such as peaches and floral arrangements. Hoppy flavors undyingly present, but in a nice balance with some light caramel maltiness and a further hint of fruit. Some negative bitterness in the aftertaste. Slightly underwhelming body, but not terribly so. Overall an enjoyable beer. (bottle)

On first pour, comes out of the bottle looking very golden, with no head, almost lied a cider would pour. The first aroma smells like an american standard would, so I am skeptical from step one. The taste is very dfferent from any other pale I have ever tried. It has a very burnt slightly bitter flavor to it. It was very easy to drink but not something that I would want to pick up again.

The aroma has biscuit malt with some herbal hops. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is malty and bitter. The palate is smooth. The finish is bread like and bitter.

04-Feb-05 (12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA)> While the malt base has some presence in this organic pale ale, it’s overrun by a honeylike sweetness and a strong floral flavor, and the combination of these two aspects is not doing it for me. There’s a slight grapefruit bitterness in the finish, but it’s too little, too late. The nose is fruity, sweet and floral, with a slight grain aroma that isn’t noticeable in the flavor. Light to medium body. Medium golden color, with a very slight haziness. Small off-white head fades to a wide rim around the edge of the glass, and leaves some streaks of lace behind. In the end, this simply isn’t an especially pleasant tasting beer.

Re-Rate 10/08/02: Clear light amber on the pour, the head creamy, very light beige in color, the lace is thick and clinging like a baby to it’s mothers bosom. The nose is malt, grainy, clean and fresh. The beer starts malt sweet, the top is light to medium in mouth feel, the finish is dry, sparingly acidic, temperately hopped. I love the rich and somewhat robustness that ’Organic’ brewed beers have, and personally I think a step above their contemporaries. Ranks #593 on my current 1000 beer master list.
